So Christmassy ...

.... here at the moment.  There's not too much snow left on the roads (which is good), but there's still a reasonable amount on gardens and in the playing fields.  But the skies are heavy with snow clouds, so I expect more snow tonight.  I know that we're so lucky - we haven't got it too bad here - just enough to make it feel Christmassy.

The plus side is that I'm in the mood for Christmas cards.  I decided to work on challenges from Clean & Simple Stamping, and also from Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.  Both sketches use a square card as the base - which is nice as I like square cards.

For the Clean & Simple Challenge I went for a nice simple Santa stamp from Waltzingmouse Stamps - Around Christmastime.  There are so many wonderful stamps in this set - all quite graphic and they make super toppers.  I embossed the image with detail silver and then coloured it with Memento ink, crystal glitter and white flock.  I cut the shape out using my circular nesties.

Stamps:  Waltzingmouse - Around Christmastime
Inks:  Memento - Lady Bug
Pens: Sakura Stardust Golden Star
Accessories:  Anita's Stickers: Winter Berries; Anita's Christmas Black Papers
Spellbinders: Circles

My card for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge used the wonderful Fesitive Foliage set.  Claire has designed some wonderful stamps for this set, and her Design Team and lots of other card makers have used the set to make some of the most wonderful cards - both vintage and clean and simple.  It's really versatile.  The main topper image was embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Steel Blue Aurora - and it doesn't really show up too well on the photo, but it matches the card base perfectly.  Both have a wonderful shimmer!!

Stamps:  Waltzingmouse - Around Christmastime, Festive Foliage
Embossing Powder:  Cosmic Shimmer - Steel Blue Aurora; Stampendous - Detail Silver
Card: from stash

For some reason my signature has returned!!!  I think maybe Blogger has been playing games again!

That's all for this evening.  I'll be back again tomorrow.

I thought the first card was a stunner but the second one took my breath away! Keep warm!

I didn't get the foliage one and have regretted it somewhat, but you cannot have everything. Your cards are lovely. I hate it when the power goes out as it means that every appliance has to be reset - my electric goods in the kitchen all have a slightly different time on them at the moment and last night it was either 22.11, 22.12, 22.13 or 22.14 - so funny! Keep warm and keep crafting!

I cannot decide between these two - both are superb. We had snow on & off all day & the little birds were ravenous, eating all I put out but picking out all the dried fruit first.
Keep warm.

The embossed pine card is simply stunning! I didn't get this set either as I already have a similar pine branch from years and years ago...but I do love this card.
