And so it begins .....

... Good afternoon all - it's been a very strange day today.  The removal guys arrived this morning to start packing up all our worldly goods.  Yesterday I packed our suitcases with all the stuff that we want to take to America on the plane - it's been put in a "safe" area - where the removal team won't touch it (see right).  If we put our bags or anything down anywhere else, it could end up on the container!

This picture is the dining room - we used to have a table, some chairs, a bookcase - it's all wrapped up safely.

The guys have packed almost all the kitchen - I still have a few pots, plates, cups, kettle and coffee!  That lot will be packed up on Thursday morning.

They didn't quite get to my craft room - yea!!!  So I can craft tonight - I'll share my cards tomorrow!  Before I finish today, I'd like to say hello and welcome to my newest follower - Kingstonmama (Ann).  That's all for now - Kathryn is playing with her school friends and I think I'm going to craft!  See you soon.

Wow - that's a lot of boxes already! Although its sure to tripple when they start on your craft room lol ;-)

In my experience of removal men, the kettle is always the last thing they pack!!!

Isn't it lucky that your craft room comes at the end?

Wow. What an enormous move. Good luck on your new adventure. I left you a little something on my blog today. No worries if you don't participate in blog awards. I just wanted to shout out that I love your blog. :) Ann Y.

Make sure that your passports are not on that Container. My poor Dad forgot & passports were in the drawer of one of the first items loaded to the container. My parents had to delay travelling & go to London to the Swedish Embassy to obtain duplicate travelling passports! Put them in your handbag now or somewhere safe with your visas, tickets etc......

Take care

Goodness me that is VERY real now and I don't think it's luck that has made the removals guys leave your craft room until last!

Oh my goodness Deborah your pictures takes me back to our move to Australia!
Our house was packed the day before we were due to fly out via San Fran. I put my passport wallet out for Walshie to add to our travel papers....you know what's coming right! When we left the house for the last time I was running through the check list and asked Ian to check he had all the travel docs. ......All but my passport!!!
I waved him off on the next day while I had to go to London to retrieve the missing Passport! I followed a day later meeting Walshie in San Fran. so we could arrive in Sydney together.........What a hoot!
The best part of the story is that I was a Flight Attendant and always had my passport in my bag.......not sure why I took it out lol!

Eek! I'm getting a tad paranoid about my passport and tickets, but I can see my bag now - so I know it's okay!

Wow! These pictures brought back memories of my move from London back to Toronto almost 20 years ago! And also reminded me why I've lived where I live now for 15 years and plan to do so for a lot longer - so much work! Good luck with the move!
