... have been brilliant. Our meetings are held on a Friday night and last Friday was Children in Need night. We try to do something to support this fantastic night each year. This year the Troop did a sponsored skip. They were timed for 1 minute and the number of skips recorded. I think they all thought that 1 minute was far too short a time and would be dead easy. I wish I'd had my camera handy to take photos of the faces at the end of a minute!!! I think I must be evil :))
They all took part with great enthusiasm, cheering each other on - I'm so proud of them all. Some of my Troop have never skipped before and found it a real challenge and learnt a new skill. I think there are others in the Troop who are secret skipping champions!! It was a great evening.
And I've been busy with other Scouting stuff this weekend - hence no cards on here!! ;(
I am attending a two day First Aid course (I was always the office First Aider). It's a super course and I'm finding that you don't really forget this stuff, but it's good to practise. Today is the second day and I should have my certificate this afternoon, so if anyone does have an accident I'm officially able to sort it out.
Anyway, I'll be back to making some cards tomorrow. I still have lots to make for my Christmas collection, and I also want to make a few small CAS cards for the school fair on Thursday - fund raising for Scouts!!
I hope everyone has a good day. I'll be back tomorrow.

Glad it went well. The work that is done with Scouts is invaluable & you cannot even begin to fathom the impact/influence on those young lives.

1 minute sounds interminable to me nowadays! Well done Scouts.
Hopefully you have your certificate by now :o)
