St Luke's Charity Card Challenge ....

... and so to this month's challenge, we would like you to make a card and

"Pick a Pattern"

have fun with design, polka dots, checks, stripes, zig-zags - whatever takes your fancy - make a card with a pattern.  I had lots of fun with this challenge, so here's my card:

For colour inspiration I've gone back to an old Colour Q challenge - cQc72 - but I omitted the orange, as I felt it worked better with just the four colours.  I stamped the zig-zag pattern to make the backing - it was very easy to do.  I made the centre piece using Spellbinders Labels 18 - one to cut the burgundy mat and one for the greeting.  The card is for my brother-in-law who celebrates his birthday on 5th May.

Stamps:  Waltzing Mouse - Off Beat Backgrounds, Back in the Saddle, Vintage Labels 18
Inks:  Stampin' Up! - Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze
Spellbinders:  Labels Eighteen (S4-310) # 4 and 5

I omitted the orange!

"Cards can be any shape, size or colour. If you are going to kindly donate your card to the charity, if you could include a matching blank envelope that would be great - if you can pop it in a protective card bag then even better but we can sort this once we receive them if you don't have them available. Then just pop it all in another slightly larger envelope (perhaps with a bit of extra card or tissue to protect anything delicate) and send it to:

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PUT A STAMP ON YOUR PARCEL AND DO NOT USE THE FREEPOST ADDRESS (we were given the Freepost address in error) - THANKS"

Don't forget to visit my fellow DT members - they have some lovely cards to inspire and share with you:
I'll be back later today with this week's CR84FN challenge, so please check back.

I love this WM set Deborah (as you know!) but the strong colours here just compliment it brilliantly. Thanks so much for getting this done before your trip so you can still take part even all the way over in India :-)

Brilliantly effective using those colours with the pattern - a lovely original idea.

Wow, this card is really striking Deborah! I love the colour combo and that background is fab - I assumed it was patterned paper until I read the description!

Hope you've been enjoying your holiday, xx

Ha, I was going to say exactly the same as Ciara, I too thought it was DP until I read your post. That said, you`ve done an amazing job with the stamping and I love the colour combo.
