Vintage Christmas, Part 2 ...

... I was on a bit of a roll with the vintage style Christmas card for the Jingle Belles challenge - which is to focus on the "Spirit of Christmas Past".

The paper set that I used for this morning's card came in two colourways - the green (which I used this morning) and red.  So I thought I'd play with the red too.

This time I selected a square image - I rather like square cards.  Once again I cut out the image and a coordinating mat with my nesties.  I used a bit of the deep cream paper for the base layer and I added some sparkle with gold Glamour Dust.  I really like the vintage image of Santa and his sleigh on the rooftop delivering parcels - I added some crystal Glamour Dust to the snow on the roof - it sparkles so much!!  And I love the new Fleur de Lys Squares from Spellbinders - have used it a lot recently!!  To give some depth, I used dimensional tape to mount the image.

Papers:  Vintage Christmas - Nancy Watt (Making Cards)
Spellbinders:  Fleur de Lys Squares (S4-318) die #4, Square nesties #6
Accessories:  Glamour Dust; Card from stash

I've added a photo that I took this afternoon - I think it's a bit better than the scanned image above - it certainly shows the sparkle a bit better!!

This evening Kathryn is back at her Drama group - having missed several weeks because of the holidays.  She's really excited to be going back.  I'm going to try and finish my Stephen King novel - it's brilliant!!

Soooo pretty! The first one looks like the negative (die-cut of the base vs die-cut and layered) of the second one. Must be scanner trickery.:)

The Spellbinders mat is very striking in that colour & I love the way you've really enhanced this to your own style with the extra details.
Hope you got to the end of the book!
