CR84N26 ...

..... it's time for another colour challenge with CR84FN - and our colours this week are just so luxurious - kraft, pale yellow and gold!!  Wonderful!

One of our Design Team has her birthday this week - so I'd like to send special Birthday Wishes to Stephanie Kraft - do drop by and leave her some love!!  The inspiration photos are from Martha Stewart - and they're fab.  And I know that many of you love to read the quotes each week - and this one is just great.

I stamped the flourishes onto the base card and embossed them with gold.  I decided to do the same on the kraft card - it's such an elegant flourish design.  I made my own pale yellow paper as I didn't have any in my stash!!  I used a piece of the Brides Paper from Stampin' Up! (it was discontinued last year) - it has a really pretty pattern in the paper and when you add ink direct to the paper it creates a resist effect - very pretty.  You can just see it at the edge of the yellow mount layer.  I cut a backing mat from the paper and then stamped the dress on to the paper too.  I added some gold ribbon and a birthday greeting - made with my lovely new Spellbinders Labels 20!!  I added a thin gold border by using a gold marker pen.

Stamps:  Kanban Set (from QVC); Personal Impressions - Wording Stamps by Paula Pascual; Flourish (QVC)
Inks:  Versamark; Distress - Mustard Seed
Spellbinders:  Labels Twenty (S5-026) #2
Accessoreis:  Stampin' Up! - Bride Paper; Card and ribbon from stash

For more inspiration with this week's colours - check out the rest of the Design Team:

And this week we are pleased to welcome Lin as our Guest Designer for the month of May.  So don't forget to check out her blog for inspiration too.

That's all for now.  I'll be back soon.

Striking the way you've used the gold & yellow together. It certainly is a lovely combination with the kraft. I love the way you used the dress theme from the inspirational photo too - nice & different.

I just love the look of this card, the color combo and the dress makes it look vintage to me. I know some ladies who would love this card! I'm sure Stephanie appreciated getting it as a Birthday greeting.
