Colour Q ....

.... I love the colours at this week's Colour Q challenge - and that sort of surprises me as I normally go for cool greens, blues.  But this neutral selection is yummy!!

While I love the colours - I really didn't have a clue what to do for my card.  However, the design team cards are a great source of inspiration - and I think I owe a lot of thanks to LeAnne - her card was the inspiration for mine!!  Thank you!  So, without further ado - here's my card.

My card is tiny - only 3" × 3" - and I thought it would be a perfect showcase for my little inch stamps.  This set is from Stampin' Up! and was the hostess gift from my last party - and it's the first time they've seen ink!!  I picked two stamps from the set and decided to go for the tone-on-tone effect with three of the squares and use a different stamp on the fourth square which was embossed with white detail powder.  I used my spellbinder square dies to cut out the squares and only had to redo one - so that was quite good!!

Stamps:  Stampin' Up! - Cute by the Inch (Hostess set)
Inks:  Versamark
Card:  Stampin' Up! - Chocolate Chip, Peach Parfait, Basic Grey, Sahara Sand
Accessoreis:  Card, embossing powder from stash

We've got a busy day today - Jonathan and I are going out for lunch with some friends we haven't seen for ages and that'll be lots of fun.  Then Jonathan has to collect his new spectacles and visit the doctor - cramming in all the visits before he goes back to India next week!!  While Jonathan's out - I'll be packing for our weekend music festival.

However, I've got one more card - almost ready - so do drop by later.  Bye for now!!

Oh, Deborah, I LOVE this! When I saw it in the thumbnails, my eye was drawn to it right away! I guess because it is one of my favorite layouts! And the images you used are perfect! What a sweet little card!

Sweet and simple, Deborah! I love this design and the way the white embossing pops. Such a great size for those small stamps, too. Thanks for joining us at the ColourQ!
