Less is More 14, part 2 ...

... I think I can be called a LIMette - I keep coming back to the challenge!!  This morning I posted two versions of the same card for the White on White challenge that Chrissie and Mandi have set us this week.

But while I was in my craft room I came across a new embossing folder that I got a while ago (last year) and it was still in its packaging.  So I decided it was time to play with it.  I found some plain white card from my stash and cut it down to make an A6 card.  I then placed this in my embossing folder and ran it through my "bug"!!  I'm very lucky to have both the Grand Calibur and a Cuttlebug - but I always tend to use my "bug" for small bits of cutting or embossing.

The embossing is really deep on this card - I should, perhaps, have used a slightly thicker card.  However, I like the effect and decided to add some shimmer to the whole card.  So out came my Cosmic Shimmer mist - pearl white!!  It's lovely!!  I then decided to make a sentiment to go with the image - out came my Spellbinder dies and Waltzingmouse stamps.  I stamped a very subtle background to the sentiment, added the greeting and a white embossed border.  The final touch - a charm to go with the theme.  So here's the card - and I'm delighted with it!!

I opted for a musical theme - for a "note" card!!  Sorry, couldn't resist :))  And I'm really pleased with the photo on this card - you can see the shimmer and the depth of embossing.

Stamps:  Waltzingmouse - Musical Backgrounds, Say it with Style, Very Vintage Labels No 10
Inks:  Versamark; Memento - London Fog, Tuxedo Black
Spellbinders:  Labels 10 (S5-022) Die #2
Accessories:  Cosmic Shimmer Mist - Pearl; Music Charm; Embossing powder; Card from stash; Crafts Too - Musical Notes

And that's all for now - I've been naughty today - no housework, but lots of reading!!!  Busy getting through another Stephen King novel - Bag of Bones!  It's good.  I hope to get into my craft room again later this evening!  Take care for now.

Hi Deborah, this is really quite effective letting the embossed background do all the work. I have that folder, I must drag it out and use it soon. Cheers, Kasey ~ in Oz

Super - & ever so good for those masculine cards that we all need. the white is very stylish here but there's a good hint of the trendy teenager too - very useful.

Woohoo!!!!! Deb this is a masterpiece. Fabulous! Yes you are definitely a LIMette :)
And I love to look at your stunning creations.

Sounds you had a great day. I wish I could let go of the housework and laundry...but I can't make cards when my house is a mess. So I always clean up first and after that I create another mess myself :)
