With a flourish ....

.... I've made a card for this week's challenge over at My Time to Craft.  The want us to make a card and use a flourish - or two!!  Who could resist such a lovely challenge?  Not me!!

I cut out the largest Labels 10 shape and stamped this wonderful Kanban flourish tree in Versamark and then clear embossed.  I used my brayer to colour the background - I should have stamped onto some glossy card, as the effect is much better, but I don't have large sheets of glossy card!!  I found a lovely flourish in my stamp boxes and inked with versamark and added three shades of pink and lilac - so very pretty.  Finally I made a lovely greeting - I think this is a thank you card and it will go into my stash for when I need it!!

Stamps:  Kanban - Spring Silhouettes; Waltzingmouse - Fancy Phrases; Flourish from a QVC set
Inks:  Big 'n' Juicy - Happy Birthday; Distress - Victorian Velvet; Versamark
Embossing Powders: Cosmic Shimmer - Pink Violet Blaze, Mallow Flame Aurora, Tropic Violet Lustre
Spellbinders: Fancy Tags (S4-235);  Labels 10 (S5-022) #6

Now you can see why I'm in such a cheerful and happy mood - who could fail to cheer up when faced with a card as bright and cheerful as this one?

Oh yes, it could also be because we are finally going to get a decent internet connection speed in our village!  British Telecom is rolling out its high-speed BT Infinity service and amazingly we have got it here in North Wales!!  Gosh, pick me up!!  Anyway, we signed up today and it will be installed in two weeks.  So I should be able to get around blogland so much quicker soon!!  I'm delighted :)

Debs, this is a fantastic, colorful card! I was going to ask how in the world did you do the tree, and then I went back and reread more carefully what you had written. Just beautiful. We don't have dialup and we don't have really high speed, but we do have DSL. However, it's frustrating trying to open some of the websites that have a lot of music or animation. It takes forever. So I am so happy for you that you are getting some internet speed. I don't think we will ever get there.

Love the flourish & stunningly inked - the tree is on my wish list but keeps getting relegating to the bottom with other pirorities taking precedence.
I definitely think colours are your forte!

Gorgeous card; I love the flourishes and that sentiment...Waltzingmouse is my favorite!!!

Although we have high speed internet here; there was no internet in the early morning... Eveything is working again but I had a bit of trouble uploading my GD post..... It never happens and when it happens it's always at the wrong moment.
Cross my fingers for next week :) But I hope things will turn out great for you. This world of blogging is very addictive :) and quick acces to all the blogs is half the fun!
