.... around here at the moment. The wind is howling around the house and everything is rattling!! Fortunately, it's lovely and warm and safe inside. I had great plans for today - preparation for Scouts this evening, ironing and making a few cards. But I've been a bit ill today - can't think why, but I've been in bed most of the day - still probably the best place to be. However, I got up a couple of hours ago, feeling hungry and rested - so it was obviously nothing serious.
Scouts still went ahead, one of the other leaders was able to cover for me. Hopefully they had a good evening - all about emergency aid - I was really looking forward to playing with the Resus Annies!!
But I managed to do at least one of the things I planned - and I've just been in the craft room and made a super quick card for the Clean & Simple challenge - FTL125. I like this sketch - I think it's really versatile, and this time I stuck to the sketch too :)
My card is really clean and simple - but I did add a bit of bling in the form of sparkling embossing powder. The papers all come the wonderful 6" × 6" Pink Petticoat Victorian Rose papers that came free with this month's issue of Quick Cards (the same paper that I used in this morning's card). I mounted the cut pieces (3cm × 7cm) onto some bright pink pearly card from my stash. I stamped the circles using Versamark and added embossing powder. Finally, I added a very elaborate swirly birthday greeting in bright pink. A very girly card!!
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps - Free Spirit - Boy
Inks: Versamark; Memento - Rose Bud
Papers: Pink Petticoat - Victorian Rose (free with Quick Cards)
Accessories: Card, greeting stamp - from stash
And that's all for tonight. I've got a few challenges to finish off tomorrow - so check back then. Take care and be safe.

This is great! A lovely take on this challenge. Like the fancy sentiment too.
It's good to hear you're feeling a bit better. And your card turned out great! I love the subtle patterns and the embossed circles are gorgeous!
There is a big storm going on here with a lot of wind and rain; argh... I hope I can catch some sleep because the wind is making a terrible noise....
Take care; stay warm!
Hugs,
Stella
Howling wind & rain here further south - not to be out in.
Hope you feel completely better by the morning. Love the way you've used those papers & stamped onto them. Very striking with the fancy sentiment too.

Do hope that you are feeling better and that you are well rested. Nothing like laying in bed listening to the wind howl around an now that you are snug and warm! The card is very pretty - light and airy.
A beautiful and elegant card. Live the over stamping you've done on the papers and that sentiment is just 'wow'.

Another gorgeous card.
