Come Waltz with me ...

... and see what has been created for the February Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz.  The theme for this waltz is to design with buttons!!

I don't usually use buttons on my cards - so it was a bit difficult to work out what to do for this Waltz.  But, as buttons and sewing go together really well, it was only natural that I'd use one of the Sewing Hugs sets.  But which one?

I really like the house from the Sewing Box - Hugs set, so decided to paper piece it.  I used the Celtic Squares papers in several colours.  I cut a couple of backing mounts - one in green Celtic Square and the other plain white onto which I stamped the pretty lace circle - with my Spellbinder dies.  I used faux stitching to make a border around the card; had a rummage in my button box to find co-ordinating buttons and added them to the corners.  I also found a few heart shaped buttons, which I thought looked really sweet falling from the door!  Finally I added a simple greeting in red.  Home sweet home - a place where the heart is!!

Stamps:  Waltzingmouse - Faux Fun Circles,  Off Beat Backgrounds, Sewing Box - Hugs
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Distress - Barn Door, Faded Jeans, Brushed Corduroy
Spellbinders:  Sm Pinking Circles (S4-172) die #5, Classic Scalloped Circles Lg (S4-124) die #5
Papers:  Waltzingmouse Celtic Square - Creme de Menthe, Regal Red, French Blue, Saffron, Heather

I had great fun with this challenge.  Do enjoy the Waltz!!  See you soon.
