Having fun ....

... Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you're all having fun on World Card Making Day.  I've been playing in my craft room all morning and have a card to share:

Celebrate Autumn - photo by Deborah Fring s- Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Winnie & Walter - The Big, The Bold & The Seasons; Waltzingmouse - Peace & Plenty; PTI - Background Basics: Random Stripes
Inks: Kaleidacolour - Creole Spice, Cappuccino Delight; Memento - Tuxedo Black
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Stampin' Up! Card - Cajun Craze; Copic Markers

I'm submitting this card to a few challenges:
  1. Time Out Challenge - TOC#15 - stamping with optional twist of apples
  2. Less is More - LIM#192 - colours - Autumn Bounty
  3. Just Us Girls - JUGS#261 - word "Celebrate"

I used my Kaleidacolour pads to get a range of autumn colours on the stripe border and the word autumn.  I stamped the apple onto some scrap white and blended Copic markers to create a rosy apple (I'm learning lots from the Online Card Class, Copic Markers).  I cut out the apple, went round the edge with a black marker and then adhered it to the card.  On the inside I made a mat layer in Cajun Craze and finished with a simple, multicoloured, sentiment.

There are lots of special World Card Making Day challenges about and I've found a few at Winnie & Walter - WWWCMD2014.  The first challenge the put up this morning was to take a photo of our crafty space - so here's my desk while I was working on this card:

Winnie & Walter have several challenges on the go - all open until 11th October, and they have some fabulous prizes too if you play along.  That's all for now - I might be back later with more :)

You've reminded me that I have some of those big variegated colour ink pads, I should have got them out. Why don't I ever think of these things at an appropriate time!
Superb card!
Thanks so much

Fabulous stamping and so effective Deborah. I didn't even know it was Cardmaking Day until it was too late and I'd not been near my Craft haven!
Thanks so much for sharing and taking part.
