I'm submitting this to a couple of challenges; Colour Me Card Challenge - CMCC#42 and Merry Monday - MM#130 where the theme is "Silent Night". The Merry Monday graphic was the inspiration for this card, I thought that an Alpine Village would be very quiet on the night before Christmas. I created a mask and then stamped the mountain range several times using first and second generation impressions. I stamped the village using all three colours and then embossed an oval frame around the whole image. I finished the front with a simple sentiment. On the inside I cut a mat of pale peach and on the white panel added another small village, some snowflakes and a Christmas greeting.
I had lots of fun with this card and, as it's only one layer, it will be very easy to mail. For more inspiration with one-layer Christmas cards, check out the cards from the rest of the Team. See you soon.
Oh Deborah - this is wonderful! Your attention to detail is amazing, and I love that the inside of your card is just as lovely as the outside. Have a great weekend, hugs, Gill xx
Oh I can imagine being there and having a nice winter warmer in that village x
Love the way that the mountains seem to recede in the background by generation stamping. Also, love what you did with the dies!
What a lovely card inside and out. What could be more peaceful than Christmas in the mountains!
LOVE the village and the mountains, Deb! FAB!
Oh my, I haven't checked out WM's stuff lately (love everything she ever does, though!) and by the looks of this lovely little Alpine village, I might have to run over there! Very sweet little scene...lots of depth and dimension for only one layer! Very clever! Thanks for participating in my Merry Monday challenge this week! LOVE the sentiment inside too!
Love the way you created the mountains in your gorgeous scene card. The embossed frame is perfect, but most of all I love the inside
What a great way to create a scene - fab stamps too - it all looks so pretty in the oval frame - Jacqueline xx
Those mountains are brilliant, they really look dimensional. Great card for one layer, you've got me thinking.
