CR84FN35 .....

... as you know we're running our challenges for two weeks over the summer period, and this is week two of CR84FN35 with our cooler colours of lavender, celery and grey - and they are proving to be very popular with lots of entries so far.  You've got plenty of time to join the fun!

You all know that I am a huge fan of Waltzingmouse Stamps - well recently Claire and the Design Team reviewed the newly issued sets in the Stamp of Approval Parade - SOAPs!!  At the end of the SOAPs there is a competition to CASE - that is Copy and Share Everything - we pick a card to CASE and then enter the competition.  There are so many fabulous cards created that it's hard to pick only one, so I've cased two cards - one by Sandie Dunn and one by Kate Whelan.

I decided to use a square card (like Sandie) and cut out green and white mats.  On the white card I found the centre point and used an oval, the cross and silhouette heads from Cameo Creations to make the backing paper.  I cut several oval mats in , metallic lavender, green, white and lavender to make the central decoration.  On the plain lavender card I stamped another oval and sentiment in grey.  Finally, I threaded some grey organza ribbon through the beaded oval.  This was much easier to make than I initially thought - and I thoroughly enjoyed making my own backing paper like this!!

Stamps:  Waltzingmouse - Cameo Creations, Cameo to go
Inks: Memento - Lulu Lavender, New Sprout, London Fog; Stampin' Up! - Basic Grey
Spellbinders: Plain Ovals Lg (S4-110) # 3 & 4, Plain Ovals Sm (S4-112) #4, Beaded Ovals (S4-294) #4
Accessories:  Card, ribbon and paper from stash

Check out the CR84FN blog for more inspiration from the team and for full details about playing along with the challenge.

That's all for today.  We've got a busy day lined up.  Ben is flying back to London to go home and we're taking Kathryn to her Grandparents.  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  See you tomorrow.
