...... the colours this weeks are just scrummy!! Soft pink, bright pink and chocolate - warm and lovely!
I love the quote on this week's graphic - I reckon chocolate is another of the main food groups :)
My Aunt and Uncle are going to reaffirm their Wedding Vows in April - such a romantic thing to do. Pretty much the whole family will be getting together to help them celebrate. These colours do conjure up feelings of love and romance, and so that's what I decided to go with for my card.
I had a lovely piece of pale pink pearly card in my stash which I folded to make the card base. I cut out the largest beaded oval in brown and threaded bright pink and pale pink ribbon through the holes - I love this technique. I made the ribbon from some hessian ribbon and strips of pink and brown card, finally I added some pale pink dotty ribbon - much better than my original idea of brown satin! I had a scrap of white card which had been embossed with Floral Fantasy, so I ran that through my bug cutting 3 hearts which I coloured, highlighting the texture. I also cut and embossed a bright pink heart - I arranged them on the ribboned mount and attached - giving dimension to the hearts. I used labels 14 which is so great for greetings - the words are so appropriate. They've been married 47 years!
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Fancy Phrases, Holiday Labels No 14
Spellbinders: Beaded Ovals (S4-294) #4, Labels 14 (S4-290) #3
Cuttlebug: Concentric Hearts 3 ×3 die, Cut 'n' Emboss - Textile Hearts, Floral Fantasy Embossing Folder
Inks: Distress - Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick; Memento - Rich Cocoa; Versamark
Accessories: Detail white embossing powder; ribbon and hessian from stash

And last, but by no means least, we have chosen a lucky designer to join our team as a Guest Designer for one month, so we welcome Stella to the team for February!
That's all for today - off to spend time with the family. See you all tomorrow.

How lovely that your aunt and uncle are reaffirming their wedding vows. Love your romantic card - the cluster of hearts in the scalloped circle nest works beautifully with the linear layering.
Gorgeous Deb! I love how you layered all those hearts!
