SHC - Christmas Snowflake

... Hello! It's time for my Seven Hills Craft blog post. I'm very, very behind making Christmas cards this year - you all know why!! So, yesterday, I decided to make a set of ten cards - all quick and easy - and all using just three sets of stamps. Here they are:

I'm submitting three of the cards to three different challenges:

• The square card to Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge - HLSXMAS#11 where it's anything goes - I've skipped the optional Santa.
• The corner silver snowflake to Perfectly CAS - PCAS#33 where the theme is Snowflakes and to use only a third of less of the card.
• The multi teal corner snowflake to The Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge - H&ICC#128 where it's anything Christmas goes.

I put the large snowflake in the centre of my MISTI and simply by putting the notecards into different places in the MISTI, I was able to stamp the snowflake in various places on the note cards - using different inks for each card. I selected a number of greetings to finish off the cards and stamped them in bold black ink. At present the inside of all the cards is blank. However, I may yet go back and add a greeting inside.

SHC - Christmas Foliage

.... Morning. I'm here with my weekly Seven Hills Craft post. I've got a Christmas card to share today. It's reasonably clean and simple and focuses on Christmas flowers and leaves:

Stamps: Colorado Craft Company - Big & Bold Winter Wishes Snowflake, Big & Bold Frosty's Hat

Inks: Versafine - Onyx Black; Delicata - Silvery Shimmer; Versafine Clair - Nocture

Accessories: White Card; Copic Markers; Clear Embossing Powder

I used the sketch from Christmas 24 Challenge for the layout of this card. I'm submitting this card to Jingle Belles - JB:21:06 where the theme is Christmas Foliage; so pleased to finally join in with this challenge.

This is a reasonably big card – 4½” x 6¼”. I started by stamping the background with the big snowflake from Colorado Craft Company’s Big & Bold Winter Wishes Snowflake. I stamped it in a soft shimmery silver ink, once towards the top of the card and again just off to the left. Next, I stamped the holly leaves and berries, and the poinsettia flower from Big & Bold Frosty’s Hat. I coloured the images with Copic markers, replaced them in my stamp positioner, stamped with black Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear powder. I then carefully fussy cut out all the images. I edged the images with a black marker, adhered them to the card and then added a greeting from Big & Bold Winter Wishes Snowflake.  Inside, I cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than the base. I stamped the snowflake in silver in the centre of the panel and added a fun sentiment from Big & Bold Frosty’s Hat. I edged the panel with a soft blue marker and glued it into the card.

SHC - A Topping Christmas ....

.... Good morning! I'm here this morning with my Seven Hills Craft blog post - the last one of 2020!! I know that I said I'd finished with all my Christmas cards, but I've got a couple more to share. Today, I'm sharing the card I've made for my hubby, Jonathan. This is a big card - 8" square - well he deserves something special.

Stamps: Colorado Craft Company - Big & Bold - Frosty's Hat, Big & Bold - Winter Wishes Snowflake; Concord & 9th - All the Merrys, Snowflake Turnabout

Inks: Gina K - Sea Glass, Blue Lagoon; Delicata - Silvery Shimmer; Versafine - Onyx Black

Accessories: White Card; Copic Markers; Nuvo - Clear Aquashimer Brush; Clear Embossing Powder

I stamped the card with lots of snowflakes. I stamped the large snowflake in shimmery silver and added some soft teal snowflakes over the top. I stamped a bold greeting in the corner. I stamped the large top hat on white card, coloured the image with Copic markers, put it back in the MISTI and restamped with Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear powder. I did the same to make the bunch of holly. I fussy cut both images and edged them with black ink. I added some shimmer to the hat band with a clear aquashimmer brush. On the inside, of the card I kept it very simple with a greeting and another bunch of holly.

I'm submitting this card to Uniko - USC#62 - where the theme is Tis the Season and an optional twist of sparkle, and to The Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge - H&ICC#85 where the theme is anything Christmas goes.

SHC - Happy Christmas ...

... Hello again! It's one of those days when design teams posts clash. Today I have both a Seven Hills Craft Blog and Christmas 24 Challenge post, so I decided to continue with a Christmas theme. In fact, I used the same stamp set for my cards. Here's the first:

Accessories: White Card; SU Card - Black; Detail White Embossing Powder; Sheer Shimmer Spray - Frost

I'm playing along with The Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge - H&ICC#68 where it's Anything Christmas Goes.

I stamped the snowflake and greeting in Versamark and heat embossed with detail white powder. Using my blending brushes I created an ombre background with yellow, green and blue distress oxide inks. I love the soft velvety finish these inks give. I made sure to wipe of any excess ink from the images. Then I added some sparkle with a frost shimmer spray. I layered the finished panel on black card and adhered it to the front of the card. It's a large 5" × 7" card - perfect to show off the snowflake. On the inside, I cut another mat layer of black card and on the white panel I stamped the snowflake in silver and added another greeting from the set. I used the three inks to create an ombre greeting.

My next two cards are one layer cards with a clean, simple finish:

The square card is embossed with plain silver and the other 5" × 7" card is embossed with silver tinsel.  The sentiment on this card didn't work perfectly, so I restamped the sentiment, slightly offset to create a shadow effect. On the inside of each card I restamped the snowflake and added another greeting.

I really like this set. The snowflake is stunning and the fonts used in the sentiments are just lovely. Why not visit Seven Hills Craft shop to check it out?

C24C - White Christmas ....

.... Hello! I'm here this morning with my card for Christmas 24 Challenge - C24C#07 where we have a sketch for you. I've been pretty faithful to the sketch, but I don't do bows!!

Inks: Distress Oxides - Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch; Versamark; Delicata - Silvery Shimmer
Accessories: White Card; Dylusions Shimmer Spray - White Linen; Sheer Shimmer Spray - Frost; Silver Embossing Powder

I started by masking off a rectangle on the square card. I used several shades of blue Distress Oxide to create an ombre background. I added some shimmer with White Linen Dylusions and Frost sprays. Once dry I used my antistatic bag and then stamped the large snowflake and sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed with silver powder. I cut the panel to 5½" square and adhered it to a 5¾" square card. On the inside, I cut a mat panel of black card and a smaller white panel on which I stamped the snowflake again in silver and added a sentiment using two shades of blue ink.
