TMR - Theme ....

... Morning! I can't quite believe just how fast this month is flying by! It really doesn't feel like two weeks since our last challenge, but it is. For the next couple of weeks at The Male Room - TMR#54 we want to see WHEELS on your masculine projects. What type of wheels you use is entirely up to you! I opted for wheels on a car:

Stamps: Stampin' Up! - Beautiful Ride
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine - Onyx Black
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Teresa Collins DP - Far & Away; Copics

I used the sketch from Reverse Confetti - RC#45 for the layout - I've taken a few liberties, but you can see the basic sketch in my card. The colours are from the current Can You Case It - CYCI#146 challenge. I stamped the car, surf board and suitcases on some scrap white card, coloured them all with Copics and then carefully cut them out. I edged all the images with a black markers to hide the white card. I cut a panel of design paper - I like the compass and maps flags as they suggest a journey - and adhered it flat to the card. I used dimensional gel to attach the car, surf board and suitcases, they only have a little dimension as it's easier to post. I finished by added the sentiment. On the inside I cut a mat of design paper and on the white panel added the car and a greeting. This one is for my stash!

52CCT - Colours ....

..... Hello!  It's time for our colour challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card ThrowdownLouise's colours are inspired by her love addiction of coffee, so I used that for my somewhat non-traditional Christmas card:

Special Delivery - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Reverse Confetti - Be a Barista, Tinsel 'n' Trim; Winnie & Walter - Scenery: Big Bang Confetti
Inks: Versamark; Stampin' Up! - Baked Brown Sugar
Accessories: Cream Lustre Card; SU Card - Baked Brown Sugar; SU DP - Very Vanilla; Wink of Stella - Gold, Clear; Gold Mirri Card; Glitter; Gold Embossing Powder

I used the sketch at Reverse Confetti - SFYTT#23 to create this layered card.  I cut a panel of light brown card and stamped snowflakes in Versamark, added some sticky stuff and then glitter.  I cut a panel of cream design paper (sadly now discontinued) and attached a trim of gold mirri card.  I stamped the coffee cup on cream paper, heat embossed with gold powder and coloured a gold stripe with my Wink of Stella brush.  Once cut out, I added some sparkle to the pattern in the coffee foam - if you squint and look really, really hard - it's almost a Christmas tree!!!!  I finished the front with a horizontal strip on which I stamped the sentiment.  On the inside I cut a mat layer of brown card and added some decoration and a greeting to the white panel.

Here's a close-up of the coffee cup - it sparkles and if you look closely, you really can see that Christmas tree ☺.

ASM - Holiday .....

Good evening everyone!  Are you enjoying the Olympics?  I am!  So much so, that I seem to have lost days in the last week and am running very late with my card for this week's Addicted to Stamps and More! challenge.  Our challenge this week is HOLIDAY - and while we are still surrounded by so much snow, there was only one holiday card I could make.  Christmas:

Merry Christmas - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Festive Foliage; Reverse Confetti - Bring on the Merry
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Real Red, Gumball Green; Versafine - Onyx Black
Accessories: White Lustre Card

This is just about as clean and simple as it gets.  I based the layout on this week's CAS(E) This Sketch - CTS#64 and I used holly which is the theme at this week's Merry Monday Challenge - MM#96.  When I saw the snowman image on the CTS layout I just thought about a holly sprig!  I stamped the holly directly onto the card and used my stamp-a-ma-jig to position the word Merry.  I stamped the word Christmas in red on some scrap, cut it out and attached it with dimensional tape.  I've not done the inside yet, but will add a photo once I've completed the card.

Edited to add a photo of the inside of the card:

I'm babysitting for a friend's daughter today, so won't get chance to finish it until later this evening and will photograph it tomorrow!

We are sponsored this week by StampArt Design and the winner of our challenge will receive 5 free digi images.  Our guest designer for the next couple of week's is Cathy of Cathy's Card Spot, she and the rest of the Design Team have some wonderful inspiration cards to share with you - all based on a holiday theme.  See you soon!
