Broadway and more ....

...  Wow, this week has simply flown by.  Today is our last day in New York City.  We've had a fab time exploring the city.

The weather forecast for Wednesday was for cold, dull and rather damp, so we decided to visit the Museum of Modern Art.  It was FANTASTIC!!  We started on the top floor where they have one of my favourite Van Gogh paintings on display - The Starry Night.  It was very popular, but I did manage to take a photo:

I had a wonderful time in the museum and took lots of photos.  After our visit to the museum we walked up to Central Park, but it was so, so cold that we went back to our room for a rest.  Later, when it warmed up a bit, we went for a walk to Bryant Park.

Yesterday we walked down Broadway from our hotel on Times Square.  We had a nice stroll down the road stopping from time to time to have a coffee and warm up a bit and also to take some photos on the way.  There really is so much to see in this city.

The last part of our walk took us to the South Seaport where we took a trip on the Water Taxi night tour - a trip around the Hudson, stopping off to see the Statue of Liberty.  This city is really beautiful at night.

That's all for now - not sure what our plans are for today - but we are determined to squeeze in a bit more sight seeing!  See you soon.
