Happy Birthday Wishes .....

...... Good morning - just a quick post with a birthday card that I've made for four challenges:

Stamps:  Uniko Studios - Pure Florals: Chrysanthemums, Wonderful Washi; Stampin' Up! - Petite Pairs
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso; Versamark
Accessories:  SU/Sizzix - EF: Lacy Brocade; SU Card: Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral; SU Punches - 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle; White Lustre Card; Clear embossing powder

I've got lots of birthdays coming up over the next few months and realised that I don't have many actual birthday cards in my stash - so you might see quite a few more in the coming weeks!!

I've been itching to use this wonderful chrysanthemum stamp and the layout sketch just seemed perfect.  I cut a panel of coral card onto which I layered some embossed white card.  I stamped the large outline flower in versamark directly onto the pink card, heat embossed with clear powder and then cut it out.   Next I stamped different washi images onto white card and cut them out.  I created the birthday label by stamping the sentiment onto white card, punching it out and layering it onto a scalloped circle.  For the inside I cut a mat in coral and on the white layer I stamped a few more chrysanthemums (smaller outline flower) and the verse is the partner to the front sentiment.

I'm off out this morning to a Stampin' Up! party at Karin's place.  I got my parcel of new goodies yesterday with the new In-Colours and a couple of stamps and dies from the new catalogue.  Oh yes, I also got a copy of the new catalogue.  My wish list is HUGE!!!!!  I think we're going to be playing with some of the new stuff - I'll post pictures later.

That's all for now.  See you soon.

Deborah! That's a lot of snipping, but the work pays off. A beautiful image and a great use of the flower in this sketch challenge. Thanks for playing along with The Paper Players this week.

So lovely Deborah. Your bloom looks fabulous with the pennants leading your eye across this festive birthday card. I'm in awe of how you can create one card to fit into so many challenges. You Go Girl!

No new pictures of Evie...since I'm so far away, I don't have the opportunity to take any, and her mom is so busy taking of her and going back to work, that I'm lucky is I see one every now and then. =(
