Set of Five Christmas Cards

.... Good afternoon, it's another lovely day and I've been indoors! I've made a set of five Christmas cards for my stash - they are all inspired by the current challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown to use letters and/or numbers - 52CCT2026-07

Stamps: Woodware - Christmas Date; Hero Arts - Christmas Messages, Stylized Christmas Trees
Inks: Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Gina K - Jelly Bean Green
Dies: Gina K - Master Layouts 2
Accessories: White Card; Copic Markers; Grabie Jumbo Glitter Gel Pens; Kaisercraft DP - Home for Christmas

This card is also being submitted The Neglected Stuff Challenge - NSC#0226 - it's been a very long time since I used any of my design paper pads!!

The same process was used for all the cards. I used my MISTI to stamp the image on white card, removed them from the MISTI and coloured each image with Copic markers. I returned the coloured images to the MISTI and restamped with Versafine Clair Nocture ink - it is a really dark black. I carefully cut out all the images and then added some shimmer to each image with Grabie Jumbo Glitter Gel pens. I had put the images aside overnight to make sure gel ink dried completely. I used a die to cut out the front panel from design paper - to match the colours on the focal image - and adhered to an A2 notecard. I used dimensional tape to add the focal image. On the inside of each card, there is a mat layer of design paper, and on the white panel a simple greeting with a couple of stars to match the main colour.

The next card in the set is being entered into AAA Colourful - AAAC#25 -  these are such lovely colours.

Stamps: Woodware - Christmas Date; Hero Arts - Christmas Messages, Stylized Christmas Trees
Inks: Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Gina K - Blue Sky
Dies: Gina K - Master Layouts 2
Accessories: White Card; Copic Markers; Grabie Jumbo Glitter Gel Pens; Kaisercraft DP - Violet Crush

Next is a card inspired by the image at Time Out Challenge - TOC#307 - I like the soft colours and the dotty pattern:

Stamps: Woodware - Christmas Date; Hero Arts - Christmas Messages, Stylized Christmas Trees
Inks: Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Gina K - Lovely Lavender
Dies: Gina K - Master Layouts 2
Accessories: White Card; Copic Markers; Grabie Jumbo Glitter Gel Pens; Kaisercraft DP - Silver Bells

For the next card I used the colours at The Color Hues Challenge - CH#127 - peach and teal are such a pretty combination and make for an unusual Christmas card:

Stamps: Woodware - Christmas Date; Hero Arts - Christmas Messages, Stylized Christmas Trees
Inks: Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Gina K - Sweet Mango
Dies: Gina K - Master Layouts 2
Accessories: White Card; Copic Markers; Grabie Jumbo Glitter Gel Pens; Kaisercraft DP - Storyteller

And the final card in this set of five, is inspired by ABC Christmas Challenge - ABCXMAS#02 where I've picked C for the colour crimson:

Stamps: Woodware - Christmas Date; Hero Arts - Christmas Messages, Stylized Christmas Trees
Inks: Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Gina K - Red Hot
Dies: Gina K - Master Layouts 2
Accessories: White Card; Copic Markers; Grabie Jumbo Glitter Gel Pens; Kaisercraft DP - Home for Christmas

Sorry there are so many photos in this post! I had fun with them and I'm building my Christmas stash nicely. See you soon.

CCT - Colours ....

.... Morning! I didn't get chance to make a card last for our colour challenge at Christmas Card Throwdown - CCT06, so I've done one this week. Our colours this week are CREAM, BURGUNDY AND LIME. I've made a really clean and simple card for our reminder post, in fact I CASE'd an old card of mine (see the original below):

Xmas Day - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Woodware - Xmas Day
Inks: Versafine - Onyx Black
Accessories: Cream Lustre Card; Tim Holtz Water Colour Card; Zig Clean Colour Brushes; Distress Markers; Spectrum Noir Sparkle - Clear; Clear Embossing Powder; Signo White Pen

Even though this is a really CAS card, it has a lovely warm, vintage feel as I opted for a dark burgundy and very rich cream to colour the image. I stamped the image on water colour card and embossed it with clear powder. I used Distress markers for the background and numbers. On the background I put some colour around the image and then used an aqua brush to spread the ink a little. On the numbers I added some ink and then used a clear sparkle brush to move the ink. On the leaves I used a Zig Clean Colour brush in bright lime - once again I used the sparkle to move the ink. I cut the image out, edged it with a black marker and adhered it flat to the card. The inside isn't done yet. I'm submitting this to Jingle Belles - JB:17:06 where they want to see bling - it's subtle here, but it is here!

I was having such fun with this one, that I decided to make another - this time with WHITE, BRIGHT RED AND GREEN.

Stamps: Woodware - Xmas Day
Inks: Versafine - Onyx Black
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Tim Holtz Water Colour Card; Zig Clean Colour Brushes; Spectrum Noir Sparkle - Clear; Clear Embossing Powder; Signo White Pen

This time I've gone for a really clean, fresh look - still lots of sparkle because I used the Spectrum Noir sparkle brush to move the inks on the leaves and numbers. I added the snowflakes with a white pigment pen. The inside isn't done on this one either.

Here's the one that I made in 2015 - I used Copics on this one, full details can be found here:

You've still got plenty of time to join in with our challenge. The colorus are a bit non-traditional, but I think they are just lovely. Deadline for submission is midnight BST on Friday 31st March, that's 7.00pm EDT. Have fun!

52CCT - Stash ....

.....  Hello, good morning!  Can you believe it's the last day of February?  No, neither can I!  This month has flown by.  It does bring us to the last challenge of the month here at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown.  This week we have a stash challenge - something that many of you have in at least one (if not more) forms - MARKERS!  Here's my card:

Christmas Day - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Woodware - Christmas Date
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Copics and Promakers; Glitter

This is an ultra clean and simple card.  I've used the colours from this week's Colour Throwdown Challenge - CTD#331.  I stamped the image several times onto white card.  I coloured each section with markers (used a mixture of Copics and Promarkers), then fussy cut out the numbers, holly leaves and berries as well as the background.  I adhered the numbers and leaves to the background and then used dimensional tape to attach the finished image to the card base.  I finished by adding a touch of glitter to the snow!  I've not had time to do the inside - but I'll do that in the week and add details later.

Non-traditional Christmas ...

....  Good morning!  This is my fourth attempt at making a card for this week's challenge at Less is More - LIM#196, where the team would like us to make a Christmas card with non-traditional colours.  Here's my take:

Christmas Day - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Woodware - Christmas Date; Waltzingmouse - Elf Made#
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Stampin' Up! - Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU Card - Tempting Turquoise; Copic Markers; Signo White Pen

Why is this the fourth attempt?  Well the first attempt was the card I posted on Monday, it's certainly non-trad colours, but includes lime green!  The second and third attempts are images that I coloured earlier this week, only realising at the end that I'd added red on one and green on the other!  Silly me!!

I CASEd Kath's card (she entered our 52CCT stash challenge), I really liked the stamp she used, so I got it.  Instead of Kath's traditional red and green, I went wild with colour.  I used Copic markers to colour the whole image.  Initially I used the colourless blender to remove the blue from the snow, but it wasn't very clear, so I used my white pigment pen to colour the snow.  I cut it out, edged it with a black marker and adhered it to the card with dimensional tape.  Before attached the image, I drew a frame by hand, to echo the frame on the image.  On the inside of the card I cut a mat layer of turquoise card and stamped a simple sentiment in orange on the white panel.

Not only have I been busy with card making, but I've also been editing photos from shoots that I did earlier this year - much earlier!!!  I'll share a few photos soon.  That's all for now - see you soon.
