Uniko - Blog Hop and Revisit ...

..... I am very, very late with this post, the rest of the Design Team went live with their posts on 11th January. It's the Uniko Design Team Blog Hop and Giveaway! We don't have a release for you this month, so we revisited an older set - Beautiful Blooms 1 and the matching Designer Dies. I had lots of fun making the bold and bright card:

Flowers in Garden - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Uniko - Beautiful Blooms 1, Originally Organic, Background Builders Vines, Balloon Bash, Simply Said
Inks: Versafine - Onyx Black; Distress - Squeezed Lemonade, Blueprint Sketch; Versamark
Dies: Uniko - Beautiful Blooms
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Zig Clean Colour Brushes; Spectrum Noir Sparkle - Clear; Clear Embossing Powder; Tim Holtz Water Colour Card; Copic Marker

I've used the sketch from Fusion - FUSION#64 for the layout and the colours are from a new challenge, The Flower Challenge - TFC#04. As there is all-over stamping on the main panel, I'm also going to submit this to Just Us Girls - JUGS#376.

I cut a piece of white card ½" narrower either side than the card base on which I stamped the large and small flowers in bright yellow. I added tiny little stars, flowers and dots in blue along with a few dots and flowers in yellow. I stamped the greeting at the bottom of the panel in black and heat embossed it with clear powder. I attached the panel with dimensional tape. I found a scrap of water colour card and coloured it with squeezed lemonade mixed with the sparkle brush - sadly you can't see the shimmer in the picture above. I stamped the small image in Versmark, heat embossed with clear powder and cut it out with the matching die. I then used a darker yellow Zig brush to pain over the unembossed area and define the image. On the inside I cut a panel of white card on which I stamped a tiny message and another flower. I finished the panel by edging it with a dark blue marker.

As I said above this is a Blog Hop and also a Giveaway. We have a prize of the stamps, Beautiful Blooms 1, and matching die set (or a Gift Certificate to the same value if you already have them). In order to be in with a chance of winning, you must comment along the Design Teams blogs. You have until midnight GMT Friday 20th January to comment.

Deborah - that's me!

Before I go, here's a quick look at both sets:

I do have to apologise to my team mates, but sometimes real-life gets in the way of crafting :) Hope you all have a super weekend.
