Cutting it fine .....

.... I seem to be doing that at the moment, and this one will only get in because the deadline has been extended!  I've used four challenges to make this card:

This week I've been sorting out my craft room; all the boxes are unpacked and it's so, so nice to have all my stash here.  And I've been able to use it on this card!!  I started off by cutting an octagon shaped card (OLW87) and embossing another octagon inside the cut shape.  Next I stamped a birthday cupcake (CFC51) in the centre and used Promarkers to colour match (as far as possible) the cQc136 colours.  I finished off by stamping "happy birthday" around the image.  Clean, simple and fun!!  This one is for my stash and for the joy of crafting.

Stamps:  Hero Arts - Birthday Cupcakes; Waltzingmouse - Say It Loud
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Pear Pizzazz, Always Artichoke; Memento - Tuxedo Black
Promarkers: Ivory, Tulip Yellow (Daffodil Delight), Gold (Tangerine Tango)
Spellbinders: Octagons Lg (S4-185) #7 and #4
Accessories: Card from stash

It's so nice having my craft room back - it's mostly sorted and I promise to have photos next week.  I should have all the house finished by then!

That's all for now.  I'll be back tomorrow - with another card to share.  See you then.

Your comment on my blog is too funny, Deborah, because I almost made a hex card! lol! I love what you've done with this! And way to knock all those challenges off with one card - I haven't been able to manage more than 2 in one yet - it really takes great skill and planning to do that! Just saw you have another blog - going to take a look!

Love the shape you chose for your card. I don't have that die set..hmmm...might need to do a little shopping! LOVE how you've embossed the smaller one inside...it makes a perfect frame for the cute cupcake! As for knocking out all those challenges with one card....Way To GO!!!

Fabulous - hexagons are so on trend and make such a cute shaped card. Great way to combine 4 challenges too.
I bet you'll be so glad to see the back of all those boxes....

Just realized your card is an octagon, not a hexagon (yes, I'm an accountant, but clearly can't count past 6). lol!

I admire the fact you can craft and move into a new house at the same time :0)
Look forward to the photos.

Glad you're almost sorted. Love the octagonal shape & your embossing of the same shape within it to provide a panel for the cupcake.
