.... It's the second week for our wonderful CR84FN52 colours of medium pink, tan and cream - just so lovely.
Today is our 11th Wedding Anniversary, so I made a card for Jonathan. According to Google steel is the gift given for 11th anniversaries. I'll have to have a think about that :)
I used a pink and tan striped paper from the new Kaisercraft pack that I got last week. I think the stripes have a masculine feel. When I made this card I still didn't have all my craft supplies, so I improvised a bit with the tan paper and used some brown paper from a supermarket carrier bag! It's amazing how resourceful you can be when your supplies are limited.
I stamped the love birds heart onto the paper and cut it out. To add some cream to the card I used a piece of this lovely handmade lace that I got from Waltzingmouse - it's so pretty. I stamped the heart banner onto some more tan paper, cut it out and layered it above the lace. The sentiment, which is absolutely heartfelt, was stamped in dark brown. I decorated the inside to match - only this time I stamped the heart in crumb cake.
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Compact Sentiments, Nordic Spring
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Melon Mambo, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Lace (from Waltzingmouse); Brown paper (upcycled from supermarket carrier); Kaisercraft - Tigerlilly; Card from stash
Don't forget that the rest of the team have some great cards to share with you - visit them by clicking on the links below or going to the CR84FN blog.
Mona Pendleton, Sue Lelli, Heather Jensen, Lisa Somerville, Suzanne Czosek, Andrea Matthews, Pauline Pollington, Shannon White.
That's all for now - I look forward to seeing your creations! Have a good day.

A fabulous card Deborah, it's amazing what you can do, with very little, when the need arises. Happy Anniversary :o)

Happy anniversary Deborah! We had ours on Wednesday too! Where do the years go?
This is gorgeous! Love the recycled store bag (we have recycling theme at The Ribbon Reel Challenge so it would fit a treat!) and the beautiful Nordic heart.
Enjoy unpacking all your boxes, and looking forward to seeing some pics of your new abode when it's all done, especially your craft room! xx
The lace rally adds to the Nordic cross stitch Scandinavian feel of this. Hope you have/had a super anniversary.

Gorgeous card Deborah! Happy Anniversary - if you're struggling for a pressie - just give him a photo of Sheffield - we are still the steel city just about ;-)

Happy 11th Deborah, wishing you both many more! Steel for 11th, hmm ... what about 55 years together, is there something special? Love the card and it does look like you cross stitched it, very clever use of the paper.
