Bling it on!!
We'd like you to "bring out your inner magpie and add some sparkle to your creation with gems, glitter, beads or anything shiny".
I've gone for a reasonably clean and simple design with only a touch of colour. I used Kanban holographic card to make the base layer - opting for a clean, graphic design of diamonds - get it!! Diamonds!!!! I wrapped some white chiffon ribbon around the layer and attached it to the card base. The lacy oval was cut out with my Spellbinder dies, I stamped the rose image directly on the oval panel and gently coloured the lace edge. I finished off the oval by adding lots of bling! This was easier than it looked as it came ready made - super bling from Want 2 Scrap Nestabling. I added a simple birthday sentiment, which was heat embossed with clear powder and a holographic butterfly to finish off.
Stamps: Kanban - All Occasions; Waltzingmouse - Say It with Style
Inks: Versafine - Onyx Black; Stampin' Up! - Pool Party
Spellbinders: Lacey Ovals (S4-314) #5
Accessories: Want 2 Scrap - Nestabling; Kanban Holographic card and butterfly, Ribbon and card from stash
I made this card ages ago - just before I left the UK. I sent it to my sister's friend, Catherine, for her birthday which she celebrated on 9th March. Here's a close up shot of the lacy oval and the butterfly. You can really see the gems and the sparkle on the holographic butterfly. I picked Tara's favourite colour of teal for the roses!
