WCMD On Trend ...

.... Morning all!  I do hope you all had as much fun as I did yesterday.  I was able to spend all day in my craft room playing.  I posted one card yesterday and today I've another to share.  Lea, at Winnie & Walter - On Trend,  has challenged us to make a card using the very on trend camera theme.  I just had to give this a go!!

Say Cheese - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Winnie & Walter - Bubble Talk; Stampin' Up! - Snapshot, Filmstrip, Just Sayin', What's Up?
Inks: SU - Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo; Memento - Tuxedo Black, Morocco; Versafine - Onyx Black
Dies: SU/Sizzix - Word Bubbles Framelits
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Kaisercraft DP - Happy Snaps; SU Punch - What's Up?; Copic Markers

I used the layout from this week's CAS(E) this Sketch! - CTS#95 and made the card landscape instead of portrait.  The colours are from Colour Q - cQc#261.  I used my stampamajig to get the film strip border stamped (mostly) straight.  I found some words associated with photography, positioned them above the strip and stamped in them in blue.  I stamped the camera onto scrap card, coloured it with Copic markers and cut it out.  I adhered to the card with dimensional tape.  The word bubble was made by stamping one of the word bubbles from Just Sayin', then stamping the words from W&W Bubble talk and cutting with the matching die.  It is adhered with dimensional tape.  On the inside I cut a mat layer in brown design paper and on the white panel added a sentiment from the paper pack.

I'm doing more crafty stuff today - only this time it's photography.  We're all off to a photo shoot with a couple of models - Andrea and Jasmine - they're both great fun and gorgeous too!  See you soon.

Nuts about you ....

.... Morning all!  Hope your weekend is going well.  I've a fun and funky card to share with you this morning:

Nuts about You - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Rick St Dennis Digi - Robotics 2 Out of this World; Stampin' Up! - Just Sayin'; Lil Inkers - Pieces of Me
Inks: Archival - Jet Black
Dies: Lil Inkers - Stitched Rectangles #5; SU/Sizzix - Word Bubbles Framelits
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Kanban DP - Industriana; Copic Markers

I'm submitting this to Less is More - LIM#182, where the recipe is "Anything Goes".  This card is about as clean and simple as it gets.  I don't have white space, but I do have grey space with rivets - so I'm not sure whether the LIM Ladies will allow it, but it is CAS!  I'm also submitting to the Rick St Dennis Facebook Challenge where anything goes as long as you use a RSD image.  I love this fun, funky fembot; I coloured her with Copic markers and then fussy cut her out.  I adhered her directly to the card.  I covered the card base with this industrial design paper, which I think goes perfectly with the robot.  I made the sentiment on my PC using two fonts - CK Chemistry (top line) and Baby Lexi (bottom line).  The word bubble frame comes from SU Just Sayin' and I cut it out with the coordinating die; it's attached with dimensional tape.  On the inside I cut mat layer in the same design paper and die cut a white panel on which I stamped a fun sentiment.

You've probably guessed that I made this for Jonathan.  He was at a photo shoot in West Michigan yesterday and I missed him!!  Yes, I do know I'm soft :)  That's all for now.

For my little monster ....

....  Hello!  Time has got away from me again!!  I've been doing house stuff and watching the football and tennis (but more of that later).  Today I've got a fun card to share with you:

Love ya - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Rick St Dennis Digi - Aliens & Mutants; Stampin' Up! - Just Sayin'
Inks: Versafine - Onyx Black, Majestic Blue
Dies: SU/Sizzix - Word Bubbles Framelits
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Copic Markers; Cuttlebug EF - Distressed Stripes

I saw the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch! - CTS#82 yesterday and immediately knew what I wanted to make.  A card for my little monster, to be fair Ben's not that little any more, however he's still a bit of a monster.  But he's my monster and I love him to bits!

I recently discovered the art of Rick St Dennis - he has a wonderful collection of digi images for all occasions and I bought the Aliens & Mutants sheet which includes the cute guy above.  I printed it on white card and coloured with Copic markers, then cut him out and ran him through my Xyron to make him self-adhesive.  I cut a panel of white card and embossed it for some texture, adding a touch of colour to define the edge.  I want Ben to know that no matter how far away he is, I love him.  I made the thought bubble using the Just Sayin' set - I changed out the sentiment to fit what I wanted.  The inside has been left blank for a message from me.  I'm submitting this card to the Rick St Dennis Facebook Challenge - Anything Goes and also to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

I mentioned earlier that I'd been watching the football World Cup.  England has already gone home, so as I'm living in the US I'm supporting them.  Yesterday USA played Germany in their final match of the group.  The first half was really good and USA were holding Germany, but sadly Germany scored in the second half.  The final score was 1 - 0 to Germany, but as the group stage goes on points and goal difference - USA are through to the final sixteen.

I'm also being distracted by the tennis at Wimbledon.  There have been some really good matches and it is really lovely to see Wimbledon.  We have really good coverage here, better than I expected.  It's been a while since I actually went and watched matches there, but maybe when we go back to the UK that's something we'll do.  There was a really good match today between Petra Kvitova and Venus Williams, sadly Venus lost in three sets: 5-7, 7-6, 7-5.  There's plenty more to come!  That's all for today - see you tomorrow with my cards for 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown and also Waltzingmouse Fanatics.  Bye for now!!
