Circle crazy ....

... Good afternoon - time has flown by in the last couple of days.  I've been busy going through Christmas lists - there are only 52 days to go - and I realise that I've still got lots of cards to make.  However, I do need a card for my brother-in-law's birthday and I've used three challenges to make it:

Stamps:  CAS-ual Friday - Woot Woot!, Big Thanks; Uniko Studio - Extra Time
Inks: Versafine - Onyx Black; Memento - Tuxedo Black; Stampin' Up! - Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Promarkers - Caramel, Pumpkin, Midnight Blue; Anitas - Ribbon; SU Card - Crumb Cake; Card from stash

I stamped the circles from Big Thanks in Versafine and heat embossed with clear powder - love the shine.  Then I randomly coloured the circles with my Promarkers, matching them to the colours from the challenge.  I used a square punch to cut the squares, leaving space on one square for a simple sentiment.  The ribbon is some that I've had for ages, but with the metallic border it seemed perfect for a guy card.  I decorated the inside of the card too - just a simple greeting.  Actually, I like the layout of the inside and I think it'll make a good card at some point in the future!!

In hindsight, I should have stamped the whole panel and cut the squares with my guillotine - which would have meant the circles lined up.  But as I had to get it in the post, this is it!!!

It's only just gone 4.30pm and it's getting darker; I don't like the shorter evenings!  Compared to the UK we've had an extra week of summer time, but the clocks go back this weekend and to me that means it really is autumn.  While I've enjoyed the colours of autumn I'm not looking forward to the arrival of winter.  I love the look of snow, but in reality it's a pain!!  Sorry, must stop whinging!!  See you soon.

There's nothing crazy about loving circles. Or else I'm in trouble! I love how you created the 4th square with the sentiment in it rather than having 4 solid squares of circles. Clever!

I don't like the short days either Deborah but I do like the run up to Christmas and all the excitement of getting ready for that! Your circles are gorgeous and I love the colours - and I agree that the inside could be a card front on its own! Vicky x
