C4G - Congratulations ....

... Morning! It's time for our new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz - C4Glz#125 our theme is Weddings. I've made a clean, layered card:

Stamps: Stampendous - Roots of Love; CAS-ual Friday Stamps - Heart Beats
Inks: Versamark; Gina K - Jet Black Amalgam, Soft Stone
Dies: Spellbinders - 5 x 7 Modern Stationary (S6-013) #5 & #6
Accessories: White Card; Silver Linen Effect Mirri Card; Copic Markers; Silver Embossing Powder; Nuvo - Clear Aqua Shimmer Brush; Sakura Stardust Glitter Pens

I think this is such a pretty stamp called Roots of Love and marriage is a lot like planting seeds of your new life together. I stamped the image on white card, coloured it with Copic markers, restamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with silver powder. I used a large die to cut out the image and layered it on some silver linen effect mirri card. I added lots of sparkle to the hearts on the tree with a clear aqua shimmer brush. for the two big entwined root hearts I used a dark glitter pen. I finished the front with a simple congratulations message. On the inside, I cut a mat layer of the silver card and on the white panel stamped the love tree again in soft grey and added a message. This card is for my stash.

Congrats .....

..... Hello! I'm sharing a wedding card today. I've kept it really clean and simple, and I had so much fun making this card:

Stamps: Casual-Friday Stamps - Heart Beats, Sands of Time; Anita - Wedding Couple
Inks: Versafine - Onyx Black; Delicata - Silvery Shimmer
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Silver Star Holographic Card;p Stampin' Up! Card - Smoky Slate; Copics; Wink of Stella - Clear; Clear Embossing Powder

I let the focus be on the image of the couple, as a wedding should always be focused on the happy couple! I cut a couple of mat layers in holographic card for subtle sparkle and soft grey. On the main panel I stamped the image and words in black ink and embossed with clear powder. I coloured the groom's clothes and added a touch of sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella brush. On the inside I cut a mat layer of grey card. On the white panel I added a greeting and an image. I added decoration to the envelope too.

Wedding request ....

... Afternoon all!  Sorry it's been a while, but I've been making the most of my Mum's last week here with us.  Mum asked if I'd mind making a card for her as a friend of hers is getting married in August.  Such a silly question, of course, I don't mind making a card - I hardly need an excuse to play!!

Stamps: Waltzingmouse - You're Lovely; Kanban - Lace; Cas-ual Friday Stamps - Heart Beats; PTI - Wet Paint
Inks: Versafine - Smokey Grey; Memento - Peanut Brittle; Versamark
Accessories: Cream Lustre Card; Gold Matt Mirri Card; Gold Perfect Pearls; Gold Wink of Stella Brush

I've gone for a very clean, simple and elegant card.  One of Mum's favourite stamps is the WMS dress which I've used on a several other wedding cards.    I cut a layer of matt gold mirri card and adhered a panel of cream card on top.  I stamped the sentiment at the top of the card.  I made the dress by stamping the image twice, once on plain cream card and the second time onto card that I'd stamped with the lace.  I stamped the lace in Versamark and then added gold Perfect Pearls to pick out the lace pattern.  I cut out both images, adhered the lace dress onto the base and finished the dress with some gold sparkle on the collar and shoulders.  I adhered the dress to the card with dimensional tape.  On the inside I cut a mat layer of gold card and stamped a bold, but simple greeting.

That's all for now.  See you soon.
