TMR - Valentine ....

....  Hello All!  Looks like you enjoyed our shades of blue theme last time - the thumbnail display looked fabulous.  Now it's time for our new challenge at The Male Room.  For the next couple of weeks we'd like to see your projects with a VALENTINE theme - we had to do it!!  Just remember that your projects must have a masculine feel.  Here's my take:

Valentine Hearts - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: MFT - LJD All My Love; Verve - Wings of Love, Stronger Love; Waltzingmouse - Woodgrain; Clearly Besotted - Love Hearts
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Concord Crush, Summer Starfruit, Tempting Turquoise; Distress - Squeezed Lemonade; Versamark
Dies: Die-namics - All My Love; Clearly Besotted - Love Heart Dies
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU Card - Tempting Turquoise, Concord Crush, Summer Starfruit; Silver Embossing Powder; Clear Embossing Powder; Sakura Stardust Pens

I've used a couple of challenges for this card.  The inspiration photo at Fusion - FUSION#27 is super and I decided to make a masculine card covered with hearts.  The colours are from last week's Colour Throwdown - CTD#327 - I think they're just perfect for a guy card!  I made the base from turquoise card and used turquoise to stamp a tone-on-tone woodgrain finish on the front.  I stamped a selection of heart images onto various cards.  I embossed some to give different texture.  On some of the blank hearts I stamped images and added sparkle to other hearts.  Then I had fun arranging the hearts and attaching them to the card.  On the inside I cut a layer of white card onto which I stamped a sentiment and some more hearts!

I had lots of fun making this card - check out the blog to see more inspiration projects with a masculine feel from the rest of the team.  Have fun!

Both cards are really beautiful, Deborah! I love the fun pattern, wings and lovely sentiment on the first one, and how you played with the mixed patterns and colors on all those different hearts on the 2nd one! Love the turquoise woodgrain background, too!
