Subway style ...

.... Good morning all!   It's been a few days since I posted - I went down with a bug, caught from my beloved husband!  While I didn't have the fever, I was totally wiped out this weekend and ended up missing a photo shoot and unable to craft.  However, I'm feeling much better today and I've a simple card to share with you this morning.  The challenge at Inkspirational - INK#53 this week is to CASE the work of DT member Sandie.  Sandi makes lovely clean and simple cards, so it was lots of fun to go back through her blog and pick a card to CASE; see Sandie's card below.  I found this card with the subway style sentiment and made this card:

Families - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Momenta - Families are Like
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Early Espresso, Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz
Dies: Spellbinders - Rectangles Lg (S4-132) #5
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU Card - Pear Pizzazz; Pink Ribbon; Green Cord

Sandie's card with subway style sentiment - CASE for challenge
I used the colours from CAS - Colours & Sketches - CASC&S#68.  I found this stamp in the closing down sale at Archivers and just liked the sentiment - lots of fun and so appropriate for our family!  I stamped the image in brown, cut it out with a die and then stamped "sweet" in pink (sugar candy pink) and "nuts" in green (sort of pistachio like).  I cut them out and adhered them over the words on the main image.  I layered the image onto green textured card, added some textured ribbon and adhered the panel to the card with dimensional tape.  Before attaching the panel I ran some cord round the card and tied with a simple knot.  I've let the inside blank for a message home!

That's all for now.  Do drop by later for my Addicted to Stamps and More! post - we've a fun challenge for you this week!  See you later.
