C24C - Snowflakes ...

... Good morning! I'm not sure where April went, but we're in May already!! It means that it's time for our new challenge at Christmas 24 Challenge - C24C#09. For the next couple of weeks we want to see your Christmas cards with SNOWFLAKES. Here's my card:

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps - Warm Fuzzies, Compliments of the Season; Uniko - Stunning Snowflakes, Essentially Christmas; Stampin' Up! - December Wonder, Many Merry Stars
Inks: Gina K - Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea, Powder Blue, Blue Denim, Black Amalgam; Memento - Bahama Blue, New Sprout; SU - Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: White Card; SU Card - Balmy Blue; Blue Linen Effect Foil Card; Gina K - Wreath Builder Stencil

I'm submitting this card to The Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge - H&ICC#70 where it's Anything Christmas Goes.

I've used lots and lots of different snowflake stamps on this card. I used my MISTI and the Gina K 4" wreath builder stencil to build up layers of snowflakes in different colours. I trimmed the panel to size, adhered it to a blue foil mat layer and then attached the whole lot to a blue card base. On the inside, I cut a panel of white card and stamped a simple greeting with some more snowflakes.

Do visit our blog to see what the rest of the design team have created with the Snowflakes theme. That's all from me today. See you soon.

ASM - Anything Goes ....

... Evening all!  It's time for our ever popular ANYTHING GOES challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!  As it's only just over 10 weeks to Christmas, and I need still more cards, I decided to make a Christmas card:

Let it Snow - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Opera Tags Christmas, Alpine Christmas, Warm Fuzzies, Tis the Season
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Bermuda Bay, Lucky Limeade
Dies: Spellbinders/WMS - Opera Tags
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU Card - Bermuda Bay; Crafter's Companion EF - Star; Glitter; Thread; Quickie Glue Pen

I used the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches - CASC&S#145 for the layout and, as there's lots of sparkly glitter on this card, I'm submitting to Addicted to CAS - ATCAS#74.

I stamped the gorgeous Opera Tag image in two shades of green and added the sentiment in the middle.  I used my glue pen to add glue to the image and then applied lots of glitter.  I cut another tag and adhered them together.  I embossed the panel with some stars, brushed the ink pad across to bring out the stars and finished by adding more glitter.  I found some thread in my stash that went with the colours I used, lay it on the card and then adhered the finished tag with dimensional gel.  On the inside I cut a mat layer of teal card and added a sentiment and snowflakes to the white panel.  I've taken a close up of the card to show all the lovely sparkle.

52CCT - Technique Take 2 ...

....  Hello and good morning!  I made a boo-boo yesterday and my post for this week's 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown challenge went up early - silly me!!!!  So, those of you who've seen the post have a head start on the challenge.  I decided that I had to make another card - Louise has given us the challenge of using the Triple Stamping technique, and this is my Take Two card:

Happy Winter - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Warm Fuzzies, Flurries, Tis The Season
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo; Versafine - Onyx Black; Memento - Tuxedo Black, Grey Flannel
Dies: Spellbinders - Ovals Lg (S4-110) #3 and #5, Ovals Sm (S4-112) #3 and #5
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU Card - Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo; Copic Markers; Wink of Stella - Clear

This card is quite different from the one that went up yesterday.  I've used the colours from this week's Colour Me Card Challenge - CMCC#68 - totally non-traditional and the layout is based on the sketch over at Jingle Belles - JB:15:09.  I'm not sure whether this works with the Triple Stamp technique, but I had fun.  On the inside I cut a mat layer of yellow card and on the white panel stamped the larger robin and a Christmas greeting.

52CCT - Sketch ....

... Good morning! Well it's November now and almost time to be sending out the cards we've been busy making all year.  Now, if you haven't made any yet, you still have about 6 - 7 weeks in which to get some made.  Jacqueline is our host at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown for November, and she has a super sketch for us to use this week, here's my take:

Christmas Wishes - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Tis the Season, Warm Fuzzies; Stampin' Up! - Endless Wishes
Inks: SU - Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Dies: Lil Inkers - Stitched Rectangles #4; WMS - Folk Art Snowflake, Snowflake #2
Accessories:  White Lustre Card; SU Card - Crumb Cake; SU DP - Early Espresso; String and twine

I'm submitting this card to the Merry Monday challenge - MM#123 where the team would like us to use snowflakes, dry embossing and neutral colours - done!  I cut the panel from Crumb Cake card using a Lil Inker stitched rectangle, dry embossed this huge snowflake and wrapped it with twine and string.  I stamped the sentiment in dark brown, added a few more stamped snowflakes and then adhered the panel with dimensional tape.  I finished the front with one more snowflake - this time die cut from design paper.  On the inside I cut a mat layer of Early Espresso design paper, stamped more snowflakes and a sentiment on the white panel.

For more inspiration using this sketch - check out the cards from the rest of the team.

Now, before I go, we've got some exciting news.  We are looking to add some people to our Design Team.  If you would like to be considered you must play along with all our November challenges and simply add the initials DT after you card on the inlink submission.  Good luck!  See you soon.
