WOYWW 104 ...

.... it's been quite a while since I joined in the fun with WOYWW and Julia over at Stamping Ground.  But I've read that today is the second anniversary of this particular blog hop!  And I had to join in.  I may not post pictures often, but I do like to have a nosey around :)  Happy Anniversary Julia - it's a super fun blog hop - thank you for keeping it going.

Here's my desk - well, strictly it's my dining table.  My friend Buffy and her daughter Mawgan have come to stay with us for a few days.  Of course, with us both being crafting fans, it was a great opportunity to play with each other's stash!  I've managed to stamp out some lovely Polka Doodle images, and Buffy's been busy playing with my Waltzingmouse Stamps.  And in order for us to do all this - and make a few cards too - we had to decamp to the dining room.  So here's what's on my desk today:

I'll try to get around as many desks as possible - I like to have a nose - sorry look - at what's being made!!  Take care.  Do come back again tomorrow - you'll get to see what we've made today!!  Bye for now.

WOYWW85 ...

... the week has gone by so quickly again - and it's time to have a good old nosey around other people's desks :)  Over at Stamping Ground, Julia has got lots of books on her desk today.  What, no crafting?  Follow the links - have a snoop look around - lots of lovely creations to see.  This is such fun!!

As for my desk - it looks like a bomb's hit it!!  Actually, I'm getting ready for a mega session - lots of challenges to do, and I've been browsing through my stamp catalogue.  And I've been naughty - not put away some of the stuff I've finished with - oops!!

I didn't get chance to visit to many desks last week, but I'll try to do better this week.

I also need to take this opportunity to welcome to new followers to my blog - these are very special people.  One is my daughter Kathryn, and some of you have found her blog already.  And the other is my friend's daughter, Mawgan - she too has started her own blog.  It's so much fun having them join in our passion for crafting!

That's all for now - will be back later with some challenges.

WOYWW84 ...

... not too much today - as some of you may know from my blog - I've been tidying!!

Some of the projects I've already posted, and a few that are in progress!!
On my desk last week there was a picture of my challenge notebook - which seems to be a popular idea - I couldn't do without it.  Anyway, I decided that I would make a new book for 2011.  I did look for a totally plain notebook to decorate, but I ended up buying a rather beautiful A5 spiral bound notebook from WHSmiths (for those not in the UK - this is a stationery shop).  I loved the colour (purple) and the outline hibicus flowers.  So all I did was add some ribbons - still very pretty!!

My new notebook - just love the cover, so I couldn't alter it - just added some ribbons for fun!
And that's all for now - I really must do something in the house - I keep putting it off to make cards instead.  I'll be back later this evening with some more stuff to show you.  I will try to get around as many desks as possible - I do love to peek!!

WOYWW ....

... the first one of 2011 - and I've actually made it on the day!!   Amazing.  On my desk today are bits and pieces that I'm using for a couple of challenges - check back later for the card.  It's still reasonably tidy - but you should see the floor!!  Then again, maybe not!

Still bits lying around from the oriental thanks card.

Ah!!  There's my challenge note book - details of challenges I'm going to try to do!

Ah - for my challenge card - check back later.

I don't plan my desk for the WOYWW photo - it's just whatever happens to be there at the time - sometimes it's scraps from cards made earlier (mostly it's this), but today I'm actually a bit prepared!!  I'll try to get around and see everyone's desks - but it's a big list and getting bigger by the minute!! :)

WOYWW - 5th day of Christmas ....

... the parts that make up my new daylight lamp.  All wrapped in lots of layers - so plenty of rubbish for the binmen.  The instructions are really easy to understand (which is good for me) so putting it together should be easy!

Before assembly

And the lamp came together really easily.  But it's so heavy - it's not going to fall off my desk at all.  It makes such a difference - so much brighter and the colours are brilliant!!!  Oops!!  You can see the dust so much more clearly now!   There's a little tray around the lamp that means I can store more bits 'n' pieces - just what I need.

My new daylight lamp!!  Brilliant!!

I don't think I'm going to be able to make any cards today as I'm doing Christmas lunch here at home for the family.  The kitchen smells rather lovely now - the turkey aroma is wonderful.  I'm doing the whole thing - parsnips, brussels, roast spuds - the lots.  And we will finish with home-made Christmas pudding.  I'd like to be able to say it's mine, but actually my sister-in-law made it.  Her puddings are divine!

And that's all for today - I hope to post a challenge or two tomorrow.
