Uniko - DT Inspiration - Those Small Stamps ....

.... Hi! I'm here this morning with a close up of a couple of cards that I've made for my DT Inspiration spot over at Uniko. I used the stamp and ink layers technique that Jennifer McGuire shared with us earlier this week. Details of how I put the cards together can be found on the Uniko blog.

I'm submitting the set of four Christmas cards to Love to Craft Challenge Blog - LTCCB #19 where the theme is Anything Goes.

Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Falling Snowflakes, Simply Said Christmas, Rustic Christmas, Winter Foliage, Background Builders Vines Winter Additions, Jingle Bells
Inks: Distress - Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, Shabby Shutters, Twisted Citron, Crushed Olive, Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry; Hero Arts - Unicorn Pigment; Versafine - Onyx Black
Dies: Concord & 9th - Trim the Tree
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Little Things - Clear Gems

I haven't done the insides yet, but I'll add photos in due course.

I made a couple of 'love' theme cards too. There are lots of challenges about at the moment that have love as the theme. My first card has a gorgeous green heart for my sweetie:

Stamps: Uniko - Large Background Scattered Polka Hearts, Balloon Bash, Marvellous Mehndi, Pure Florals Rose
Inks: Distress - Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough, Lucky Clover; Hero Arts - Unicorn Pigment; Versafine - Onyx Black
Dies: Concord & 9th - Heartstrings
Accessories: White Lustre Card; We R Memory Keepers Next Level EF - Gemstone; Clear Embossing Powder

I kept the card simple, just made an embossed background panel and added the heart on top. I stamped the sentiment on white card and tied the words together with a hand-drawn heart, embossed it with clear powder and used my Scan'N'Cut to cut out the phrase. Love that machine!!! I'm submitting this card to the following challenges:

Finally, I have another heart card, this is a little more Valentine in feel as it's pink, red and has lots and lots of hearts!

Stamps: Uniko - Large Background Scattered Polka Hearts, Balloon Bash, Strike a Pose, I Love Tea, Big & Bold Hugs
Inks: Distress - Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries; Hero Arts - Unicorn Pigment; Versafine - Onyx Black
Dies: Concord & 9th - Heartstrings
Accessories: White Lustre Card; We R Memory Keepers Next Level EF - Gemstone; Clear Embossing Powder

Again, kept it simple to allow the heart to shine, along with the large hugs sentiment. I'm submitting this one card to the following challenges:

That's all for now. Thanks so much for stopping by - see you again soon.

Ghosts and Skeletons ....

.... Hi! I'm here this morning with a sneak peek of a project that you can see over at Uniko. Just for a change, I've made a scrapbook page:

You can see the whole process over at Uniko - with photos of various steps along the way. I'm going to submit this layout to Love to Craft Challenge Blog - LTCCB#15 where the theme is Anything Goes.

Accessories: Kraft Card 12" x 12"; Purple Glitter Paper; Black Glitter Card; Black Card; Graphic 45 Halloween DP; Copics; Wink of Stella - Clear

Over on the Uniko blog, I mentioned that this is going to be our fifth Halloween celebration in the States. Kat has always loved Halloween, so being here and able to take part in Northville's Halloween celebration is a joy for her. Tonight she and her best friend, Alyx, are off downtown. Hopefully, I'll get a picture or two of them dressed up! A couple of years ago my son came over to visit and he got to enjoy it too! I've got a few more photos of all those skeletons and the wonderful Halloween decorations in Northville.

Above are just some of the skeletons from the 2015 display. Sadly, I've not managed to get around this year and take photos of the new skeletons - and they had some wonderful ones!!

The photos above are from our trip to Three Cedars Farm to enjoy the autumn bounty. Lots of apple cider, doughnuts, and, of course, pumpkins! It's really a fun day out for all the family.

Thanks so much for stopping by - see you all again soon.

Uniko - Friend You're Sweet .....

.... Good morning! I'm running late with my DT card for our new challenge at Uniko - Anything Goes with the option of Love, so I'm combining my card with my Uniko DT Inspiration post. Here's a quick peak of the card:

I'm submitting this card to acouple of challenges. I've used the colours from this week's CAS Colours & Sketches - CASC&S#206 and over at CASology - CAS#232 the cue word is CUT. I have used several die cuts here to create the hidden word. I had such fun with this technique.

Stamps: Uniko - Beautiful Blooms 1, Pure Floral Cosmos
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Island Indigo, Flirty Flamingo, Watermelon Wonder
Dies: Winnie & Walter - Friend Cutaway
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU Card - Flirty Flamingo

Details of how I made this card can be found over at Uniko today along with step-by-step photos of the process. Here's a look at the inside of the card:

No more card-making for me today! Instead Jonathan and I are off to our other passion - photography. Have a fun day!

Edited to add: that I'm also playing along with Darnell's wonderful - NBUS#9 Challenge. This is where Darnell gets us to use stuff from our stash that has never been used before - well, this was the first outing for the die! And, as luck would have it, I also used the hidden word technique on this card which is one of the options that Darnell suggest we try!

Coffee Just for You ....

.... Hi!  I know, third post this morning!  It's a busy one today. :)))   It's time for the Winter/Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and Bev, at Uniko, is one of the sponsors.  I've made a winter themed coffee card to share here:

Just for You - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Uniko - I Love Coffee, Pure Florals Cosmos, A Gift for You
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versamark; Stampin' Up! - Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Sahara Sand
Dies: Die-namics - Fishtail Flags Stax #2
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU Card - Sahara Sand; Silver Mirri Card; Vellum; Cuttlebug EF - Dots 'n Spots; Silver Embossing Powder; Copic Markers; Wink of Stella - Clear; Signo - White Pen

I've used the sketch from The Challenge - TC#54 for the layout and the colours are from Colour Throwdown - CTD#372, so pretty.

I think this coffee set from Bev is just fab.  I stamped the cup on kraft card and cut it out.  I coloured the lid with a white pigment pen.  I added a little cup holder by stamping the flower on some scrap card and then cutting to fit the cup.  I used kraft card to make the base and adhered a strip of silver mirri card at the bottom.  I cut a panel of white card, smaller then the card which I embossed with dots and spots.  I added sparkle to some of the dots, but sadly you can't really see it in the photo!  I stamped the little flowers in Versamark on vellum, heat embossed them with silver powder and then cut them out.  I coloured the reverse with Copic markers and added lots of sparkle to the front of the flowers with a clear Wink of Stella brush.  I finished the front with a simple greeting.  On the inside I cut a mat of silver mirri card and on the white panel added some coffee beans, a greeting and a small flower.

That's the last post today - promise!  If you stuck with my through all the posts today - thank you. See you tomorrow.
