Good Coffee ....

... Hi! Good afternoon - I'm finally getting to play along with the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - FCLBH. I've been running around like a mad thing this week and only managed to get into my craft room late last night, and finished off my card this afternoon. I used some new stamps on my card:

Good Coffee - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Stamplorations - Caffeinated Zen 1, Literary Caffeine-ations; Sugar Pea Designs - Espresso Yourself
Inks: Gina K - Kraft, Dark Chocolate; Versamark
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU Card - Early Espresso; Copics; Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder; Wink of Stella - Clear

I've used the colours from the current Sunday Stamps Challenge - SSC#161. I started by stamping the large coffee cup directly on the card and then added the words. I only added colour to the cup on this image. Using my MISTI, I stamped the cup again twice and coloured in the cup and cup band. I put the completed images back in the MISTI, inked up with Versamark and then heat embossed with gold tinsel embossing powder. Then I very carefully cut out the whole coffee cup and the lid and band from the other image. I used dimensional tape to adhere the cup and again when I attached the band and lid. On the inside, I cut a mat layer of dark brown card. On the white panel, I stamped a portion of the coffee cup, added a greeting and a few coffee beans.

I've just had a quick look at the Coffee Challenge and there are over 1000 entries! It's going to take a while to get around and have a look at all the wonderful creations! That's all for now - see you again soon.

Coffee addict ....

..... Hi again! I'm on a bit of a roll this week - cards almost everyday! I've got another coffee themed card for you this afternoon. It's clean, simple and funny:

Coffee - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Bugaboo Digital - JJ Coffee; Altenew - Coffee Love, Coffee Talk, Coffee Ring
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Kaleidacolor - Cappuccino Delight
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Stampin' Up! Card - Baked Brown Sugar; Copics; Wink of Stella - Clear; Glossy Accents

I made this card for the Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop and I used the colours from Colour Throwdown - CTD#412. I adore the JJ images from Bugaboo and I got this one at the recent mega sale. I printed it on white card, coloured with Copics, cut it out and added some sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella brush. I finished the image by adding glossy accents to her specs. I printed the coffee beans in ombre ink at the corners of the card. On the inside I cut a mat layer of brown card and on the white panel added a sentiment along with coffee pot, cup and beans!

I have to apologise for the photos - it's very dark here - still raining! I've had fun making coffee themed cards this week - I still have a few to make, but the Coffee challenge closes today - it's so popular with nearly 800 submissions!!! That's all for now. See you tomorrow.

Coffee - Magical substance ...

.... Hi! It's been an awful day today with non-stop rain! I think we've almost caught up with the shortage - there's been at least 1", and I know that not a lot compared to some, but I hate it! The plus side is that I've been able to play in my craft room all day. You'll see most of the cards tomorrow and Saturday. However, I do have a fun coffee themed card to share:

Coffee - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Bugaboo Digital - Stella Magical Substance; Altenew - Coffee Love, Coffee Talk, Coffee Ring
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Crumb Cake
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU Card - Early Espresso; Copic Markers; SU Punch - Tag

I got this image in the recent mega sale at Bugaboo Stamps. I adore Stella - she's such a happy character ;)) I printed the image on white card, coloured her with Copics, cut her out and adhered her to the card. I used a punch to cut out the message - I love this. Reminds me of me in the morning!! On the inside I added a white panel with more coffee themed words and images.  I used this week's colours from the Colour Q Challenge - cQc#361 as I think they are just perfect for a coffee theme challenge. I'm submitting to the Fall Coffee Lovers Challenge too.

I'm off to make myself a cup of coffee now and wait for Jonathan to get in. He's just phoned and said that the roads are awful, but at least the rain has eased off a bit. Bye for now!

Coffee Love ....

.... Hello again! I do hope you're enjoying my sneak peeks of Uniko's October release. I'm here with my card for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I got some new stamps at the weekend with a coffee theme, so this was the perfect time to play with them:

Love You - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Altenew - Coffee Love, Coffee Talk
Inks: Kaleidacolor - Cappccino Delight; Versafine - Onyx Black
Dies: Lil Inkers - Dual Stitched Rectangles #4
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Vellum; Stampin' Up! Card - Baked Brown Sugar; Clear Embossing Powder

I created a background using several of the stamps from Coffee Love. I used a Kaleidacolor pad, appropriately named Cappccino Delight - I really love the ombre effect of this pad. I die cut a panel of vellum to fit over the front of the card and stamped the sentiment in the middle. I heat embossed it with clear powder to give a nice shine to the sentiment. I adhered the vellum panel with small dots of glossy accents. On the inside I cut a mat layer of pale brown card and on the white panel added a greeting and heart shaped coffee ring - they go together so well!

I had lots of fun making this card. And now to spend some time checking out all the submission to the challenge - there are always so many inventive cards! That's all for now.

Java Great Day ....

.... Hi!  Back again!  Yes, I know I said that was it, but I suddenly had an idea and crafting beats ironing any day of the week.  So here's my second card for the 2015 Fall - Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:

Java Great Day - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Coffee Set
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Baked Brown Sugar
Dies: Die-namics - Dual Stitched Square Stax #5; WMS - Coffee Set
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU  DP - Colour Me Autumn

I've used the sketch from Retro Sketches - RS#183 - the little hearts reminded me of coffee mugs.  Yes, okay, I might be a bit addicted.  I cut the design paper slightly smaller than the card.  I used a new die to cut the square mat, added some coffee beans and a sentiment.  And then added three coffee mugs - love this folksy set.  I've done it so quickly that I've not done the inside - yet!!  That really is all for now.

A Hug in a Mug ....

.... Hello again!  That title kinda tells you how I feel about my morning cup of coffee!  My family will tell you I'm addicted - maybe!  I couldn't possibly say :) :)  So I'm pleased that I finally managed to make a card to join in with the 2015 Fall - Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:

A Hug in a Mug - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Reverse Confetti - For the Love of Latte, Caffeinated Cups; Verve - Better With You
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Baked Brown Sugar; Kaleidacolor - Creole Spice
Dies: Reverse Confetti - Caffeinated Cups
Accessories: Cream & White Lustre Card; SU Card - Baked Brown Sugar; Glitter; Copic Markers

I based my card on this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches - FMS#206.  I got my new coffee stamps earlier this week and am really pleased to be inking them up.  I've got lots of coffee sets, but you can't have too many!  I stamped the cup on white card, coloured it with Copic markers, cut it out with the matching die and added some glitter to the coffee foam.  I really like the pretty cup holder - which I stamped in autumnal colours.  I used the super coffee stains from my Verve set and added rings to the card base (well, you nearly always have stains on the desk).  I finished the front with a sentiment.  I stamped the word coffee on some scrap card, fussy cut it out and attached it with dimensional gel.  On the inside I cut a mat layer of light brown card, and on the cream panel added a fun sentiment!

I have got a huge pile of ironing waiting for me upstairs - so I suppose rather than having fun in my craft room, I'd better get it done!  That's all for now.  See you tomorrow.

Edited to add:  I've just uploaded my card to the Coffee Blog Hop - I got number 543 - good to know that I'm not the only coffee addict about !!
