AC - 31 Days of Halloween ....

... Morning!  We're at Day 18 of the scariest blog hop around - 31 Days of Halloween, organised by Smeared Ink.  It's my turn to host our post over at Airless Chambers.  I've made a really quick and easy Halloween card:

Rare Oddity - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Rick St Dennis Digi - Voodoo Doll (from Voodoo Digi Sheet Smeared Ink); Winnie & Walter - Moonlight; Stampin' Up! - Endless Birthday Wishes
Inks: Versafine - Onyx Black; SU - Pumpkin Pie; Memento - London Fog
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Graphic 45 DP - Rare Oddities; Graphic 45 Journal Card - Rare Oddities; Copic Markers; Wink of Stella - Clear; Glossy Accents

I printed the little Voodoo Doll on white card, coloured it with Copic markers, added Glossy Accents to various areas and then covered the whole image with clear Wink of Stella - it shimmers so much in sunlight!  I really wish you could see it in the photo.  I fussy cut the image and edged it with a black marker.  I used one of the journal cards from my new Graphic 45 pack to cover the card (so simple) and then attached the Voodoo Doll with dimensional gel.  Did I mention it was quick??  On the inside I cut a mat layer of design paper to match the card, and added a greeting and some decoration to the white panel.

The photo inspiration over at at the new FUSION challenge - FUSION#41 is Halloween, so I'm submitting this card to the challenge.

If you like this cute Voodoo Doll you can find it over at Rick's Zibbet shop - there are lots of images on the digi sheet.  Rick also has a fabulous colouring book called Day of the Dead - full of wonderful Halloween images - which you can get at Zibbet or via Amazon.  It's brilliant - I've got it!!

Our son, Ben, and his girlfriend, Sophie, are flying over today for a two week holiday.  They've timed it to coincide with Halloween.  It's entirely possible that my blog will be quiet, apart from a few scheduled posts, during their visit.  That's all for now.  See you soon.

AC - 31 Days of Halloween ....

.... Morning!  Today I'm hosting the 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop over at Airless Chambers.  I've made a Halloween card - well I need quite a few for my stash and this is the perfect opportunity to make them!  Here's my card:

Happy Halloween - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Rick St Dennis Digi - Mean Green 2015; Waltzingmouse - Spooky Tree Background, Say It Loud Winter Holiday, Hocus Pocus
Inks: Distress - Hickory Smoke, Dusty Concord, Faded Jeans, Weathered Wood; Versafine - Onyx Black; Memento - London Fog
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Stampin' Up! Card - Elegant Eggplant; Copic Markers; Clear Embossing Powder; Wink of Stella - Clear; Glossy Accents

I decided to have a monster on today's card and this digi is just brilliant.  Reminds me a bit of Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors.  I printed the image on white card, coloured it with Copic markers, cut it out with a scalpel and added Glossy Accents to the drops of blood!  I also covered the plant with sparkle.  I stamped the super spooky tree image directly on the card and heat embossed it with clear powder.  Then I used Distress inks to create a night sky.  I made the moon by punching a 1" circle and adhering it after I'd done a light cover of blue.  I finished the front with a simple greeting.  On the inside I cut a mat layer of purple card and added some decoration and a greeting to the white panel.  As there's a monster on this card I'm playing along with this week's Left of Centre - LOC#98 challenge and the theme at The Paper Players - PP#265 is Halloween.

AC - 31 Days of Halloween ....

.....  It's the start of the creepiest bloghop of the year - welcome to 31 Days of Halloween which is organised by Smeared Ink.  As part of the Airless Chamber EDT, it's my pleasure to start us off.  I have a fun and rather spooky Halloween card today:

Happy Halloween - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

Stamps: Rick St Dennis Digi - Fun House Carnival de la Nuit; Waltzingmouse - Midnight Feast; Recollections - Haunted
Inks: Memento - London Fog; Versamark; Versafine - Onyx Black
Dies: Die-namics - In & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Stax #4
Accessories: White Lustre Card; Stampin' Up! Card - Black; Copic Markers; Staedler - Triplus Fineliners; Wink of Stella - Clear; White Embossing Powder; Clear Embossing Powder

I think this Fun House is really spooky, fully of skulls and ghosts and with a mad demons on top of the building.  I printed the image on white card and coloured it with Copic markers, Staedler Fineliners and added sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella brush.  I used lots of neon on the fun house to give a feeling of madness.  I used a stitched die cut to cut out the image, stamped the sentiment in black and embossed with clear powder.  I finished the image by adding a night sky and ground. I made the base from black card - it's a large card, measuring 5" × 7".  I stamped a skeleton and skeleton hands in Versamark and heat embossed with white powder.  I attached the finished image to the card with dimensional tape.  On the inside I cut a panel of white card and simply stamped another skeleton.

Here's a close up photo showing the sparkle on the skeletons and ghosts - it looks fabulous in bright autumn sunlight!!  I find that taking the picture slightly out of focus actually allows the shimmer to show up better.
