.... Hello, it's me again! I finished checking out the new challenges earlier this morning and while I had breakfast and watched the football (darn Chelsea lost) I came up with a card:
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - USA 1776; Stampin' Up! - Best of Birthdays
Inks: Versamark
Accessories: White Lustre Card, Black Card; Neon Embossing Powders
I have to admit that I've struggled a bit with this week's CASology - CAS68 challenge where the cue word is "black", but when I saw the inspiration photo and title at Less is More - LIM144 - this card came together. It's really quick and easy to make. I simply stamped a couple of the wonderful firework stamps in Versamark, added the sentiment and then poured on neon embossing powders. I love to watch the powders change as they set in the heat!
They don't have Bonfire Night over here in the State and it's an occasion I really miss. Last year we tried to have fireworks at a small party in Bloomfield. The police arrived and told us, in no uncertain terms, to put out the fire and stop the fireworks! We've learnt from that experience, this year it'll be a small bonfire and some sparklers followed by food.
That's all for now - must get back into my craft room and finish tidying and cataloguing!! See you soon.
FAB card and what a pity about your firework party last time ..... hope it works with your sparklers and food
