Birthday card ...

.... Good afternoon - I've had a busy day working in my craft room, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see what I made!  However, I also managed to find a bit of time to make a birthday card - very much needed in my stash!

Stamps: Uniko Studio - Wonderful Washi; Stampin' Up! - Sassy Salutations
Inks: Stampin' Up! - Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana; Versafine - Onyx Black
Accessories: SU Card - Real Red; White Lustre Card; Vellum; Doodlebug Sprinkles - Ladybug, Bumblebee; Basic Grey - Candy Dots; Clear Embossing Powder

I used three challenges to make this card:

I don't have many rolls of Washi tape so I decided to make my own using Beverley's lovely stamps.  I stamped directly onto some thick vellum, used my heat gun to make sure the ink was dry and then cut out the strips.  Once I'd decided on the length of each strip I tore the top and ran them all through my Xyron to make them self-adhesive.  I don't have Cool Caribbean, so I substituted Coastal Cabana. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine and heat embossed with clear powder.  I attached the white panel to a mat of Real Red and then adhere the whole lot to the card base.  I finished off the front with some little enamel dots.  I'm a bit late getting these embellishments, but I love them.  They are easier to mail than gems - no sharp edges!!

That's all for today.  I've got a headache starting - I think the weather is beginning to change - so I'm off to take a headache pill and have a glass of water.  See you soon.
