Peace .....

.... It's been a bit of a day; Kathryn and I both had appointments at the dentist.  Kathryn was just in for a check up - all went well.  However, I had to have a couple of small fillings, the first for 11 years, so not bad. My dentist is great, she made sure that I felt no pain.  But I didn't half look silly when I came out with my droopy smile :)  And no coffee until the anaesthetic wore off!

The plus side is that while Kathryn worked on her homework; the school gave homework for all her subjects  and it certainly kept her busy, I was able to play!!  So I have another card to share with you today.  I made for two challenges:

Stamps: My Favourite Things - Pretty Pocket
Inks: Kaleidacolor - Pastel Rainbow
Dies: Provo Craft (Cuttlebug) Hippie Chick Alphabet
Accessories:  Promarkers; Card, twine and brad from stash

I haven't played along with the Ribbon Reel challenges for a while, but when I saw the lovely rainbow umbrella I knew I had to play.  The rainbow colours made me think of the summer of love, hippies, rock music, peace and love.  I made the rainbow panel with my Promarkers - simply applying colour freehand.  I had the perfect alphabet letters in my store and used Hippie Chick to cut the word peace and some symbols.  I coloured the peace symbol to match the panel and left the heart and flower white so they'd stand out.  I wrapped some white twine around the panel and adhered it to the card with dimensional tape.  I stamped a couple of flourishes and flowers directly onto the card using pastel rainbow colours.  Before attaching the flower, I added heart brad.

I showed the card to Kathryn and she loves it - thinks it's perfect for a teenager!  I think she might be right!  That really is all for today.  The anaesthetic has worn off and I'm off to make a cup of coffee and decide what to make for dinner.  See you tomorrow.
