.... Good afternoon all! Hope that you're having a good day wherever you are. It's quite warm here, but dull and grey, still no rain, no wind and no snow - so good! I've been busy in my craft room this morning - some I can share now, some you'll see soon!
I've made a Christmas card for this week's Less is More - LIM93 where the ladies would like us to make a one layer card with the theme houses! I'm in really early this week! I used this week's colours from the Colour Throwdown Challenge - CTD217. As soon as I saw the theme, I knew which house I'd be using, and I'm sure that there will be several other cards featuring this cottage too! But it's perfect.
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Christmas Cottage
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black
Spellbinders: Rectangles Lg (S4-132) #5
Accessories: Promarkers - Indigo Blue, Midnight Blue, Pear Green, Cool Greys 1 - 4, Pastel Blue; Martha Stewart coarse glitter, Card from stash
I must apologise for the poor quality photo - as I said it is very grey here and that's making taking photos tough! I really must get a photo tent! I started off by embossing the large rectangle into the card base. Then I stamped the image of the winter cottage and coloured it with Promarkers. I've matched the challenge colours as closely as possible, using greys as my neutrals. I used coarse glitter on the roof and window ledges, and some finer glitter on the ground! I edged the house in pastel blue to suggest a crisp winter sky!
We went out last night to see Skyfall, the new James Bond movie. It was really good. We saw it on an IMAX screen and my goodness that really makes a big difference. Not giving any spoilers, basically James has come to the aid of M - another spy is after her! Well worth a trip to the cinema. That's all for now. Do drop by at midnight for the start of a new colour challenge at CR84FN and some exciting news too!
Lovely, elegant colours and I love all the sparkly snow!
