Thanksgiving Wishes ....

.... Good evening, just popping in quickly to post my card for this week's Mojo Monday - MOJO263 challenge.  I used the colours from Colour Q - cQc159 and together these challenges resulted in a card for Thanksgiving.

Stamps:  Uniko Studio - The Hands of Time, Wonderful Washi; My Favourite Things - Thankful Leaves; Waltzingmouse - Say It Loud Winter Holiday
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tangelo (Only Orange); SU - Pear Pizzazz, Tangerine Tango; Versamark
Spellbinders: Rectangles Lg (S4-132) #5, Rectangles Sm (S4-130) #5, Labels 17 (S5-025) #2, Splendid Circles (S4-354) #2
Accessories: SU Card - Pear Pizzazz; SU Design Paper - Tangerine Tango; Die-namics - Fall Leaves; Promarkers - Orange, Pumpkin, Marsh Green; Black detail embossing powder, Card from stash

This card was such fun to make - I've been able to play with my new Favourite Things stamps and dies, as well as the lovely Hands of Time doily from Uniko Studio.

I started off by stamping the doily in Versamark, heat embossing with detail black powder, colouring with Promarkers and then cut it out.  Next I made the Thanksgiving panel from a rectangle of SU design paper and some white card on which I stamped various shadow leaves.  I paper pricked the holes around the edge and used a fine liner to ink in some faux stitching. I positioned the sentiment with my stamp-a-ma-jig.  I used the word stamp included with Thankful Leaves to make the little text panel and cut out the shape with Labels 17 (don't use this one often enough).  The fish tail ribbon was made by stamping the Wonderful Washi image in Versamark, heat embossing with detail black powder and cutting it out.  I used the coordinating Die-namics Fall Leaves to cut three leaves, stamped the text image onto all three and then used the shadow leaves and veins.  I really like the effect this gives.  I topped it all off with a small Splendid Circle cut from some SU design paper.

It's been a really fun day.  Charlie's birthday party was a huge success - lots of little kids and Kathryn playing on bouncy castle and slides followed by pizza and cake!!!  Sugar rush!!!!  Then this evening we met up with them again for a party tea at Rebecca's in Northville - it was great fun.  But we've all eaten far too much!!!  That's all for today, do join me tomorrow for the second week of our super CR84FN65 colours - see you then!
