Happy Birthday ....

... Good afternoon! It's turned out to be a gorgeous day here - well, the sun is shining, but it's really, really cold; the temperature is -6C with a wind chill that makes it feel like -14C (that's 21F and 8F for my American friends). I don't need an excuse to stay in and play, but the cold is a good one. I've been busy making DT cards, but I also made a fun birthday card:

Stamps: Whimsy - Birthday Balloon; MFT - Myriad Dot Background
Inks: Hero Arts Ombre - Orange; Versafine - Onyx Black; Stampin' Up! - Pistachio Pudding
Dies: Whimsy - Balloon Animal
Accessories: White Lustre Card; SU Card - Peekaboo Peach, Pistachio Pudding


I based this card on several challenges:

I stamped the balloon animal using ombre ink shading from dark to light peach and cut it out with the matching die. I stamped some polka dots on the card in pale green and also on a strip of peach card. I stamped the word birthday at the end of a strip of pale green card. I adhered the green and peach panels to the card and used dimensional tape to attach the dog. I finished the card by stamping the word happy in green on white card, cut it out and attached it to complete the greeting. On the inside I cut a mat layer of peach card and added a birthday sentiment.
