St Luke's Charity Card Challenge ......

.... I'm very, very late with my card for this month's St Luke's Charity Card Challenge - but you all know the reason why!  Anyway, I've sorted out my craft room, I've had lots of fun at the Mega Meet today and I've managed to make my card today.  Our theme this month is:

  • to make a one layer card - you can use any technique you like and make a card for any occasion, but there must be NO layers

I've made this card for Ben - he starts his GCSE exams next week, so we want to wish him luck! I've used a couple of other challenges to come up with this design:

I started off by stamping my favourite funky circles in orange (my new Memento ink - Morocco), masked the image and stamped the diamond pattern in two shades of green.  I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to position the sentiment.  It's a clean and simple design and it'll be in the post for Ben on Monday.

Stamps:  Waltzingmouse - Heirloom Patterns, Free Spirit Boy, Fancy Phrases
Inks: Memento - Morocco, Olive Grove, Pistachio, Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Card from stash

I know that one layer cards can be difficult but half the fun of crafting is to challenge yourself - and there's still lots of time left to play along.  And to encourage you there's also a prize for the May winner - two lovely stamps from Lili of the Valley - they're so pretty, sadly I can't win!!

Do check out the St Luke's Challenge Blog - the rest of the team have made some stunning cards to get your creative juices flowing.  It's a bit quite there at the moment, so hopefully this will encourage a few more players - we love to see what you come up with!!

That's all for now - join me later for the new CR84FN challenge.  See you then!
