A collage card ....

..... I told you yesterday that we're off out for the day.  It's our last full day in the USA.  And we have to do a bit of souvenir shopping before we go home.  When we went to Ann Arbor last weekend we saw a super T-shirt that would be perfect for Ben, so we're going back to get it for him.  I think Ben will also like it out here - although he will be cross that we dared to venture into downtown Detroit without him first checking the place out!!!   Teenage boys reckon they know it all :))  But we love him.

I have another card to share with you today - it's not been made for any particular challenge - but more a way of seeing what I could do with the limited stash I have to hand.  I started off with the art papers that came free with one of the US craft magazines.  I decided to try my hand at tearing paper to see if I liked it.  On the various torn edges I added colour with my Memento pens - so nice to have them! Then I stamped some of the Tim Holtz images onto the torn panels.  I cut out the G from one of the bits of paper.  I attached the panels to the card and finished off with a sentiment from the set - about new discoveries.  My discovery is that I really like this style of card and may have another go when I get home.

Stamps:  Tim Holtz - City Central
Inks:  Memento - Rich Cocoa; Memento Pens - Cantaloupe, Lady Bug, Tangelo, Dandelion
Accessories:  Art paper from Stampers' Sample take ten; Card from stash

So that's all for now.  Take care.

  2. Wow Deb, that looks so funky - great card! Bet you have had fun spending up in USA on craft stuff - I am jealous! Didn't know what I do now when I was there so didn't know what to buy where. Hope to get back one day! Look out then.
