Jingle Belles and LIM15, revisited ....

.... I've been very happy in my craft room this evening listening to Eurovision!!  But my favourite bit is to come - I love to watch the voting with a large glass of wine in hand.  However, before that, I've another card for this week's challenges at Less Is More - where they want embossing, and Jingle Belles - where we must feature St Nicholas!  And once again, I've combined the two challenges working towards this year's Christmas collection.

This time I stamped the image of St Nicholas directly on my card with Versamark and then heat embossed with detail silver.  Then I dry embossed a Nestie frame - this is the good one - you should see the ones in the bin!!  Then I painted St Nicholas with my twinkling H2Os - he really shimmers.  I added a Christmas sentiment using my stamp-a-ma-jig to get the position correct.  And finally I added some snowflakes.  I know it's a bit "more" than "less", but it looked really bare without the snowflakes.  I've taken a photo and  I may try to replace the photo tomorrow, as the light isn't great!

Stamps:  Waltzingmouse - Nutcracker Sweet,  Compliments of the Season
Inks:  Versamark;  Memento - London Fog
Spellbinders:  Labels 20 (S5-026) die #4
H2Os:  Spiced Pumpkin, Chestnut Brown, Green Tea, Solar Gold, Bronze Medallion, Iridescent Red
Accessories:  Detail silver embossing powder, card from stash

And that's all for now.  I'm off to watch the voting for Eurovision - I really enjoyed Blue and would love for them to win!  But I have a feeling that Jedwood are going to win - I actually quite enjoyed their song!!! :)

Don't forget that tomorrow we have another CR84FN challenge for you - so see you then.

  2. Your's is the second card I've seen using nesties to dry emboss...something I'd never actually considered! It's a great idea...and a fab card, even if it does make me feel a little chilly ;-)

  20. Aha, he looks perfectly placed. I haven't tried this dry-embossing with a nestie - will have to check that out. I just be he is so shimmery - I keep forgetting about the twinkling h20's. Lovely card.
